In the Sub-Contractor section we would list clearly and unambiguously the skills (NOT PRODUCTS) we are offering our fellow members.
It would act as a sort of internal Yellow Pages for quick and easy access to someone who can do the task we want done.
For example, if a forum member might want:
* some graphics produced
* a website set up
* a video produced
* a book ghost written...and so on...
They can scan the listings, and then take it from there.
Advantages:
Sure, these things can be found 'outside' but to me such a section would:
* add value to the forum itself
* give members a sense of 'ownership' and incentive to stay active
* save time in identifying someone to do a specific task
* enable us to support each other in a very positive way
Yes, I know members can use signatures, but often these are somewhat cryptic, and it's not always at all clear exactly what they are offering, or if it's a skill or a product.

Yes, a buy/sell/trade section or marketplace could be useful

I like this idea. It would requrie vishal to monitor the hell out of it, but I think it would be a VERY GOOD forum... as long as we kept it from turning into Craigslist

Good suggestion Max. I'll introduce it shortly. It'll only be for services and not for products as it'll be extremely difficult to moderate such a forum.
