Hi Everyone,
I've come across quite a few ads lately to become a partner in Mailbag Media, which is a service that enables members of the public to trade dvd's, cd's, books and video games with each other.
They charge a licensing fee to have the exclusive right to offer the service in an individual state, and once you purchase the licensee you own it and it cannot be sold to anyone else.
The idea sounds pretty good because just about everyone has unused dvd's, cd's, books and video games sitting at home, and if you could trade them in for new media items instead of always going to Best Buy or wherever to buy new stuff, you could save a lot of money and access a lot of media titles that are not readily available elsewhere. I could see a lot of people using this service because it makes a lot of sense.
Do you think this service could be popular and successful? I'm seriously thinking of getting the licensee for my state, since it can be run from home. If you google mailbag media you can easily find details on their partners program.

Thank in advance for your opinions!

Hi Mailbag,
Yes, bartering coops have been in existence since the dawn of civilization.
I think it would work quite well. You are right, why not trade something you don't really care about for something you'd like to have?
Good idea.
