Hi everyone, an SEO site cought my eye today. It claimed to be able to guarantee the customer a top ten position in google "guaranteed" or your money back.
My question is how can thay be so certain?
Seems a bit suspicious to me. Any comments?

Its probably bogus. How can anyone guarantee you show up top 10 in google? I wouldn't bother wasting my time with them.

Google keeps changing its algorithm, so it is difficult to guarantee a top position. It is better to spend on Adwords.

If you can pay through PayPal AND they guarantee the listing withing 60 days, you should be able to get a refund from PayPal if they fail.
You'd have to look at the details before you pay for something like this.

Site ranking on Google change all of the time. You might be in the top position 1 day, and the next be in the 20th position.
However, if this "Top 10 on Google" product is a Clickbank product, I'd say go for it and try it out, because you can email Clickbank directly to get a refund if the product turns out to be a dud.

I'm sure they can get you top 10 in some searches. Like "how to skin a pinnable with a jack knife"
I'm willing to be it's not all that hard to get ranked on that.
Now getting top ten on "Work from home" or something like that. That would be impressive.

What would happen if 11 people payed them to be listed in the top ten for the exact same keyword phrase?
Good humor! Newbie Shield

Getting Google Top 10 Rankings, even for highly competitive Search terms is very possible.
I was once listed as #2 for "Gay Men", "Gay Black Men", and "Hung Gay Black Men" as part of an adult site that I was promoting not too long ago.
Now, anyone who has been in Internet Marketing for any amount of time, knows that the adult industry is the most competitive "niche" there is, even broken down into gay black men.
HOWEVER, once all the Adult Experts caught on to what I was doing (really black hat, but it worked for 2 weeks!) I was dropped completely out of the rankings. I think as of today, I am on pages 7, 11, and 9 respectively for these terms.
My Point is this.... Yes, you can get top 10 rankings in google, even for highly competitive terms... However, staying there is 90% of the battle.
So, is his system what he makes it out to be? Yes... and no....
Yes, you will probably get on the first page for a few days, but you will probably not stay there for any extended period of time, unless you are extremely good, knowledgeable, and willing to Black Hat it a little - or a lot .

You may be able to get there depending how you present your site to the search engines and how much you spend on advertising and promotion but as they say, getting there is just halve of the battle, staying there is the trick. Good luck.
