I paid $9.95 for his e-book and another $9.95 for his audio version
and they both are re-hashed obvious junk that is hard to implement. There are no graphical displays, no links, no examples, no easy to follow step-by-step tutorials.
I paid another $19.95 for "Traffic SignUps and Sales". This one was a little better with graphics, links, & step-by-step instructions but ultimately turned out to be of little use. The links were supposed to be for free but turned out to be teaser ads for $167 and more to generate tons of traffic to your web site.
Don't get burned and waste your time and money, I plan to ask for refunds and see what happens.

Yeah, if you are just starting out with affiliate marketing, the rich jerk is not the best product to start off with thats for sure. Definitely get the refund. There are better things out there.

I don't know anything about The Rich Jerk, but you should have (and still can) bought Holly Mann's eBook. It is loaded with real ideas and links to all the websites that she suggests. It is truly the best way to get started in Internet Marketing.

You can click on my signature to read more about it, or go directly to her site. Her website is very helpful too, even if you son't buy the book.

I bought RJ after bought Holly Mann's Honest Riches.. just because she wrote her book in response to RJ.. partly I think?...

Anyway.. Rj was only $9 which with the current rate of exchange turned out to be about £4.50.. so bought to see what it was about...

I have to say it is entertaining on certain levels..if a bit out of date perhaps? If only in its approach.. it was useful to read both.. have to say Holly's book is more useful for beginners.. and she is ethical... which makes a change...

There are a few things in the Rich Jerk that you will find useful, and one of those is the forum - but other than that, TRJ doesn't offer a whole lot of value. I definately don't like some of his ethics nor do I care for some of the things he says in his emails - there is only one God and the rich jerk is not Him!

RJ is definately not for beginners. I bought the original book some time ago - I'm sure it was more than $9 - so don't know if it's the same now. But I gave it the thumbs down. It's an entertaining read with a couple of good ideas, but I don't like his tactics or ethics.

There are far better affiliate marketing guides out there. I've read them all. Rosalind Gardner's Super Affiliate Handbook is a good all-round guide. After that, Day Job Killer explores some advanced tactics. It's way better than RJ. I've just started reading a new book called Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate. It's very good, but not for beginners. I'll be writing a full review soon.

 Cheers

 Steve

Yes, people sell out their ebooks. Some times it seems to be useless for users. I advice everybody to learn from their own, rather than purcahsing such e books. It will take time yet it is powerful and you know what you do.

Rich Jerk was one of the first of these affilaite guides.

Anybody who wrote any other guide out there probably
read and copied RJ to some extent...

I paid a lot more than $9.oo for the RJ ebook a couple of
years ago. He's dropped the price because lower-priced
 competitors hit the market.

There is some evidence that Rich Jerk and Holly Mann are the
same people... just different marketing strategies for
 different sorts of people.

If you're a beginner to affiliate marketing then something like "Beating Adwords" is a good read. There are a lot of courses out there that are for beginners with step by step examples.

Not a chance - totally different personalities. I've actually corresponded with Holly and I PROMISE you she's a woman...at one time I had a picture on my website, and after she looked at it she responded with "your cute".
Needless to say, I don't think the Rich Jerk would say that!

Quoting: SQ625 If you're a beginner to affiliate marketing then something like "Beating Adwords" is a good read. Beating Adwords is a great read, but the only limitation is that 99% of it focuses on Google Adwords, so you don't learn very much about the free methods of promotion.

 In answer to mywirebiz

No you aren't asked for more money to get 'extra' infor after buying Holly's book.. you get full ebook and if you want the opportunity to get a website.. which most of these types of programmes offer to be honest.. 'no pun intended' its up to you if you get it but Holly walks you through making money without a website too so you dont necessarily have to purchase it.. I thinkit is only the hosting you pay for anyway which is pennies

 Good luck!

Well, if you reallt really really want to see my picture, you will have to visit an "archived" version of my old website, which I'm not longer using :

 1. Visit archive.org

 2. Type in getagripmarketing.net

 3. Click on the link for March 8 2007

 4. And Walla! That's how my website looked when it was active, and you will see my picture in the upper right hand side.

Just an FYI - you can view any website as it appeared in the past using archive.org

Rich Jerk isn't an individual, he's a character some marketers
created as a mouthpiece for their product and attitude.

How do you know the same guys didn't create Holly Mann and
hire a woman to take on the persona??? or even just write
the book and handle support issues while they provided the
financial backing to create these two personas at either end
 of the market:

The sexist, abrasive, bling-bling, rich jerk

 and...

the nice, pretty, gentle Holly Mann

ANyway, it doesn't really matter who Holly Mann is. She's
a brand like Colonel Sanders. If she wrote a useful book
that helps people out, thats what matters.

Rich Jerk is worth reading and studying just to get a grip
on the astonishing BRANDING they have done.

How do you know I'm not Rich Jerk? Hey, Vishal could be the Rich Jerk!

Actually the Rich Jerk is a guy named Kelly Felix - he's a real person.

Holly Mann is also a real person too, but the difference between her and the Rich Jerk is that Kelly Felix is the face behind the character known as the Rich Jerk, but Holly Mann doesn't use a character to hide behind - she's a real person.

That's incorrect.

The Rich Jerk is actually a brand that is the result of Kelly Felix's company. The Rich Jerk is much more than just a "single person". Trust me.

The Rich Jerk extends beyond eBooks. The "Rich Jerk" is a multi-million dollar marketing company that delivers tons of sales to a lot of networks. I don't like the fact that the Rich Jerk promoted its eBook that way that it did, but that doesn't change the fact that it is what it is.

I agree with you to a point...but its pretty clear to me that Kelly Felix was the author of the Rich Jerk, making him the individual behind the character - and his company evolved from there.

Whatever you think of the Rich Jerk and his (their) methods...he (they) are...rich.

I'm on his (their) list but have never bought his (their) stuff.

But I will never come off his (their) list. There's a lesson in every mail on either how to do it (mail shots) or how not to depending on your point of view.

He (they) also promotes all the latest guru crap so you know what to avoid.

Is Holly Mann a man? Dunno and don't much care but that's an odd name for a woman.

No money is required, although you will need to pay for a domain and web hosting if you decide to start a website.

I avoided Rich Jerk from the beginning. Anyone with a name like that has advice I don't want to follow and in the long run it won't get you far anyway.

Honestly, the Rich Jerk is way over rated, especially for Adwords. If you want to learn internet marketing, I'd suggest Wealthy Affiliate, which also has some great information about Adwords.
