Thrive has had 35 complaints in the last 36 months according to BBB of Utah. What an outstanding record!! That's an average of 1 a month. They are rated "C". I bet they do not have people look this BBB website up when they are trying to scam people out of their money!!

Internet Income Solutions has an "F" rating so stay far, far away from them. They are BAD news just like Thrive!!

BEWARE how slick they are playin with people if you really look at the Utah BBB rating ( C-) it is totally a crock of cr** They tell us that good ole Thrive has only.... get this ONLY 36 complaints in the last 3 years!!! I got news for you BBB on your own Dang site it states that they started up in March of 2008 that would be duh 18-19 Months!!! So simple math would say 3 years more like 65 + complaints Do you really think that is a C-?

South Dakota is one of the states that have Business Opportunity Disclosure Laws.

Is there anyone out there from South Dakota who has been scammed by Thrive? I was. I would like to get some more complaints from SD to take to the AG of SD.

You can answer here or contact me. Thanks!

Hey where is everybody?

I was looking for my report I filed against Thrive on Ripoff Reports. I cannot find it. They say they DO NOT delete those but guess what?? I cannot find mine or Kona's.

Interesting!!?? It is my guess Thrive paid them off too.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just pay us off instead of having to pay all the slime bags outside their door??

Did anyone do a balance transfer on their credit card with their sales floor company? Unfortunately I did. They did the three way calling thing and had me so distracted that I really didn't know what was going on. Any way I found out from my credit card companies that balanced transfers are not the same as a regular charge and aren't protected by charge backs or fraud reports. So basically it was like I handed them cash! I am such a fool!! So doing the credit card refund route is not going to work for me.

For those having trouble with the credit card companies with a regular charge from Thrive/sales floor there is the special provision of Claims and Defenses. If you made a purchase over $50 and within 100 miles of your home ( if Thrive/sales floor called you then the purchase is considered to have taken place in your state) you can protest the charges and refuse to pay the disputed charges by showing that the product was not as advertised or services were misrepresented (an understatement) while they do an investigation. So if you are past the 60 day charge-back time and they are hassling you about a fraud report try this method. Although you only have one year to do this and you have to do it in writing.

Here is where I got this info:dca.lacounty.gov/tsCreditCardDispute

I got scammed by Thrive on 12-3-08 for $9,500. I never got coaching sessions...just homework assignments. It was only several weeks when I could no longer talk to anyone...now it's through live chat. I can barely type let alone start a website. I was told there were no computer skills required. Just recently I could no longer get into my Thrive account to communicate. Took almost a week of emails before they re-activated me. Has this happened to anyone else? When I got back on, I noticed the assignments and sessions are gone. Now I have no proof except for a few emails I saved that I sent them. Paying out monthly fees to Imax and Bright Builders and NO sales. When I requested a site review, I was told it looked Un-professional and if I wanted it to look better, I would have to make another investment!!! I was using their templates! They also informed me that there were 850 other sites just like mine. Was promised I would make my investment back in 6 months. Been almost a year. I am taking the advice I see from others here and am sending my complaints to the Utah Consumer Protection and NY Attorney General and then to the BBB of Utah. Is there anything else I should do? Will I be able to get away from the 3 year contact from Imax as well. I hope someone out there can advise me further. Also I heard about a possible class action lawsuit against Thrive. Is this true and where do I sign up? Thanks, everyone.

cmlny,

The first thing you want to do is to go back to the posts from about page 7 on. There is a lot of good advice and things you are going to
have to do if you want a refund. A brief summery:

1. Get a fraud report from your credit card company and fill it out. You will probably have to use the Claims and Defenses since your way past the 60 day charge back period. You can also file fraud reports with Equifax and the other two credit report companies.

2. File reports with the FBI, FTC, all State Attorney Generals, Utah Consumer Protection, BBB and even the Utah Chamber of Commerce.

3. Many of the forums and blogs list all the places where you can complain and tell your story. This will help others who may feel ashamed or embarrassed about their situation. Hey, I consider myself a very intelligent person and I know from reading all these forums and blogs that I am in good company. We just have to stick together and fight.

4. If you know how, start a blog. Get personal with the people who run this scam. But use only the TRUTH. Back up any sources. We do not want to be like them. You can copy posts from forums and other peoples blogs onto your blog. The more we complain the harder it is for them to deny us our refund.

5. Hold out! Don't take any thing less than a full refund. All the statues and laws they broke makes any "contract" null and void.
You will get calls from Thrive and the sales floor company that sold you the program. They may be separate entities--Thrive and Six Figure Consulting are no longer affiliated --BUT-- without the one I would not have gotten into this mess with the other. So until you get 100% of your money back don't let either of the companies you dealt with off the hook. If Thrive is going to offer the percentage that the sales floor charged them do not sign anything until you get the other company to cough up the remainder. They both are culpable.

6. If you get this far they will probably ask you to sign an agreement to take down your forum and blog comments. Refuse to do so until the check clears.

7. When you make it to #7. Count your blessings and consider this a lesson learned the hard way.

I am somewhere between #4 and #5. This list of info was provided by someone who was nothappy about the way they were cheated.

Good luck.

UPDATE. I immediately called and canceled-same day (got an email to confirm my cancel request). I setup a review board appointment, talked to joshua jensen and basically took none of his BS and told him by law I have 3 days to cancel and I believe CA law its 30days. Got another appointment to confirm my cancellation. Setup another appointment to confirm and recieved verbal confirmation (joshua jensen) of a full refund and was told to await further contact for a final refund confirmation-Never got the last call. Initiated a claim dispute with my amex company, amex called and request confirmation of refund and was told email would suffice. 2 weeks after claim sent to amex, recieved email of full refund and credit to amex card. In total it took 3 weeks to get my refund but I got it.

Dar cmlny.

Sign the petition at

http://www.gopetition.com/online/27433/signatures-page1.html

Keep passing this website along the way. Encourage everyone to sign the petition! It will help somewhere along the line. Thrive must be stopped!!

I signed up wit5h IIS/Thrive a year ago today. I have made zero money with my website using all their so called "trade secrets"!!!

You are correct about their so called "copy-written" educational material being available on the internet for free. All the plagiarizing has been done by them but they will accuse you of doing this. This is what Internet Income Solutions/Thrive has done to me!

Beware of Imax. Did you sign anything? Did you email any forms back to them? Check this out first. Then ask about a refund or what the cancellation fees are. I did not have a contract so they sent me one after I complained I got taken for another fee. They could have stuck me for over $200 but took only $45 instead. Generous!! What I did not do was to stop payment BEFORE I cancelled. I was using my checking account. It would have been cheaper to do that.

Live and Learn. Take heart and keep going for your refund! It will take time. They are not going to give up without a fight! Don't get discouraged. Do what has been avised by Mychagrin. Also keep organized and thorough records.

Go luck to you! We are all here for you!

No matter what path "you" decide to take, realize that if the promises in the sales copy sound to good to be true, then hey, they probably are. What ever you choose, make sure that you are offering a product or service that overdelivers. Give people awesome value and they keep coming back!!

I have built 2 websites and neither succeeded so i did the work twice. So not everyone has joined and been lazy that is so rude of you to say when real people have been ripped of hard earned $ and all they valuable time they spent trying. Were you paid off I tried to pull up your website and could not pull it up in the address bar, any body reading try and let me know if I was doing something wrong. I typed it in Google and no direct links came up just other sites stating your website link if they really helped you why would you not pop up first since that's what they supposedly teach is search engine optimization for your site. You site wont even appear how could you be "sucessfull'' there if you cant even find it when your trying hard to.

They do care if you take your site elsewhere. You don't seem very informed when I told them I could not afford the 49.95 a month hosting fee since i was just losing $ every single month and on the verge of bankruptcy they said " go ahead and cancel your lightwave builder account and that will void your contract we will no longer coach you." So phooey on that remark!!!

Dear ambermom

Have you Signed the petition at

http://www.gopetition.com/online/27433/signatures-page1.html

If not - do so today.

We got charged 39.95 a month for our "privilege" to be coached by Thrive. Sorry you got taken for more. I tried to tell them I could not afford that either but what do they care - right?

Keep moving forward. Are you processing for a refund?

Thanks to everyone for your support. I signed the petition. Sent my formal complaints to Utah Consumer Protection and NY Attorney General. Delivery confirmation on Nov. 4. Still have not heard anything from anyone. Should I make follow-up calls to these agencies and see where I stand?

Cmlny If you just send a complaint to the attorney general they will get back with you. There is a lot of complaints with these business'
in Utah and it does take time to get back with you. They did take around 4 weeks to get back with me about my case. I did get half my money back. The attorney general in UTAH are the ones that got the company to talk to me about a refund. Now after 2 months the attorney generals in my state are talking to me about all the companies in UTAH and to get the rest of my money back.
You can also file complaints with other places look under my profile to visit my blog about more information about these companies in UTAH and what you can do. I would say make a blog ( Free and easy to do I use google blogger better for the search engine)
these companies in Utah do not like people telling their stories on blogs. Make a blog to get the word out about these companies and your story. Most people that make a blog get their money back.

Thank you very much. I have done a lot of research on this guys in Utah.
I have talked to a lot of people to try and help get their money back. I know how people feel about being scammed I was too. The video that you are talking about is on my blogs and website you can see the video there.
There is alot of information on these sites to help people.
People need to blog to tell their stories about the scams in UTAH.
You can see more information on my sites.
I have found a real company that will help you make money.
Also if anyone wants to do a real business and learn how to make real money you can visit my site for more information about this company.
My dream in life is to help people from scams and help get their money back, and to help them make money.
Because I have been a victim of a scam also. It can be stressful to you and your family.

I watched the FTC video on fraud and saw myself being scammed by Thrive all over again. I feel like crying again because I was so stupid to fall for it. On the up side, I was contacted by the NY State A.G. and they confirmed my report and told me they forwarded everything onto Thrive and are waiting for their reply. It should be getting interesting pretty soon.

You should make a blog about your story. Thrive doesn't like it when people make blogs and tell the world about the scams, and they will pay you off. They are paying people off everyday to take their blogs down. It makes them lose business and they don't like people telling the truth about what kind of business they are(scam). Blogs are very easy to do. I use wordpress and blogger. I like blogger the best because it is run by google and is easier to understand. The search engines will pick it up fast with blogger.
If you get a blog just go to one of my blogs and let me know and I will put a link to your blog, so people will see it.
Don't let them get you down because that is what they want. They want you to give up and not fight back so they can keep your money. That is what scammers do. They try and make you feel that you did something wrong. Their services are way over priced and do not give you no support for people that purchase it.
Hope this helps. Just don't give up keep fight if you want your money back.
