Hi Misled. Thanks for the feedback! I couldn't get into this link you put here so if there is another one (I am too lazy to look for another way) that you can put here on the forum that would be great. You know, this Platinum Training Solutions that signed me up for the Thrive program made some major blunders that I am surprised that I didn't even really fully acknowledge until after I had sent my letter around to all the various offices for help. On the very first page of the contract they faxed me to review and sign, they called themselves "Platinum Trading Solution" and then through the rest of the contract they referred to themselves as Platinum Training Solutions. Then, when the charge appeared on my credit bill it was with the initials PLTNMTRDNG rather than PLTNMTRNG. And even the cc dispute rep commented that it looked like an "odd" charge. So I just thought I would add that! What is happening with you in terms of getting your money refunded? I would have responded sooner but didn't get the email about your message from the forum until today. Take care, C A Future

Hi folks,
These guys also scammed me with the GOOGLE TREASURE CHEST. I am sickened at the thought that I could be so easily taken...
I have been In contact with Bhavesh who has given me some incredible advice. I am so very thankful that I have found you. It seems that there have to be hundreds more like us? Where are they? Insofar as my attempt at getting a refund, Mr Zach Bradshaw said smugly, good luck, where ever you go to achieve said refund I hope you have your contract in hand. I said OH Sir, Not only will I have it in my hand, It will be the first page of my document, for It is not me that breached this contract It is you...

I know how you all feel. I also fell for the sales pitch but it was another group not Thrive but based out of Utah. I was lucky enough that after they emailed the contract to sign and send back to notice the company name kept changing. That's when I did my research, a little backwards I know. So the next day after kicking myself I emailed them back I wasn't going to sign the contract and wanted and immediate refund. They of course refused saying that my verbal was enough to enforce it, then why have me sign a contract. I then contacted my cc (Discover) to let them know I was disputing the charges. For the next week I called and faxed every day my cancellation and request for refund. They called once to try and convince me that the plan was good and then to verbally harass me that I couldn't cancel. After a week of this I checked my cc balance online and the charges had all been reversed. Now 3 weeks ago I purchased online program and got the calls from Thrive (though they said they were with the company I purchased my program thru) and figuring it was the same thing told them I didn't need them I could do it myself. Hopefully forums like this get the message out to people before they buy into these supposed "coaching" programs that do nothing but make the coaches money and hurt the people that can't afford to lose money.
I would advise for those trying to get a refund to just keep at Thrive or whoever they call themselves. File the disputes with your cc and file BBB complaints eventually you will get your refund.

I need advice. I have been working with Thrive Learning Institute for several months now and I am beginning to have my doubts. I am in debt due to their so-called "other peoples money" and wondering if I should turn my back and run. Has anyone ever gotten their money refunded from Thrive? I just don't know what to do. If you have any advice, I certainly welcome it. Thanks.

All-
I recently posted on this message board stating that if you needed help obtaining a refund to contact me directly through my email.
Unfortunately, I did not anticipate the overwhelming number of requests, and I apologize that I have been unable to give every one the personal attention you deserve. I'm still very much wanting and willing to help where I can, but the most important thing I can do is direct you to the following blog:
http://stop-telemarketers.midwestjournalpress.com/
This blog was put together and is being ran and maintained by an extremely intelligent guy (and former Thrive customer) in Missouri named Robert. He worked for almost a year to obtain his refund from Thrive and has documented his whole experience on his blog. The wealth of knowledge contained therein is priceless to everyone who has been scammed by Thrive or any of the sales companies that sell their program.
If you want a refund, go to that blog. Robert has laid a foundation for everyone scammed by these guys that will either put the scammers out of business or will force them to clean up their acts.
By going to this blog, you will learn all the insider secrets that you'll need, along with the correct processes to obtain your refunds and receive your justice. Just make sure to pay it forward and help other people in your same situation.
Justice always prevails!

Tell you what, If you pay me $9k, I'll have one of my mentors call you and coach you through getting your money back! JUST KIDDING!!!
I just got off the phone after a 2 hour call with a guy who would not answer my questions until about an hour into it. "other people's Money..." the whole works. I was told that by the end of the interview, i should make a decision without emotional bias...
He reminded me again through out the interview that at the end he needed a commitment right then if he were going to give me an "invitation to work with them" like it was a privilege to do so. I told him through out the "interview" that I felt like I was being set up for something. That notion was just dismissed. When it came down to making the decision, I said I wanted to sleep on it. I was reminded that i needed to give my answer then because he was not allowed to hold openings on the team. He mentioned that if I needed to sleep on it, i was mulling over the emotion of it all and that the facts should speak for themselves, ie, I needed to commit and decide on a tuition amount. I told him I wanted more time to look at the facts to rule out emotion. then he repeated any and all personal details I shared during the conversation. I asked, "How can I look at the facts and make a decision with out emotions, like you said, when you are bringing up all the personal emotional details we have talked about?" We talked about Robert Kiyosaki's (sp) books earlier from which he said condescendingly, "you should not just read the books, you should practice what it says." I reminded him that Robert Kiyosaki also details being careful about who you go into business with. He just went on bringing up personal details, trying to get the last word in.
I think that if it is a legit business, and they have a "qualified" individual wanting to use their services, they would rethink the whole" take it or leave it". Usually "take its or leave its" are bad news. These guys proved to me that they are bad news.
I hope you all can get your money back.

I found this site today and I'm glad I did. I had received a call from a woman saying she was with "Integrity Group" and wanted to talk to me about "Thrive". In a nutshell it was the same stuff everyone on this forum has said, but she was very friendly and sympathetic.
She gave me a website to checkout called "Why Thrive.com" and to check BBB listing for "Thrive Holdings" which is out of Orem, Utah, which I did prior to finding this site. Thrive Holdings showed a "C" BBB rating, is not accredited and it said only 1-complaint in the last 36-months and that 1-complaint was resolved. (Was no one complaining about Thrive Holdings or is the BBB screwed up?) Is this the same place? or Did they change their name? Well, I'm not taking the chance after all I've read here today.
I was suppose to take a call from a man with "Thrive" today to give me more details, but I shut off my cell phone. I'm sure I will get more calls, but I intend on blowing them off and/or telling them off.
I hope all who were scammed are refunded all their money and that these criminals receive their just rewards. Preying on people that are vulnerable, desperate or even just wanting some guidance to make it online, is despicable. I guess this is the only way these loosers can make money. I'd rather start out small and slow than to pile on more debt because of scammers or heaven forbid turn out like them.
Thanks for the Warnings!

Hey buddy stay just as far away from www.thriveli.com Thrive Learning Institute as you can. They do not offer anything that you cannot learn by going to your local large bookstore chain and buying a $20.00 book on setting up an online business. They have a bunch of so called "State of the Art" videos or so they call them.
Thrive Learning Institute is just a scam that looks like a legit business, trust me i lost over $7000.00+ from these Utah Scammers from their partners in crime Internet Auction Solutions which of course sell the scam out of Draper, Utah.
Feel free to contact me if you need further, Chris <Snip>

Don't waste your money! If you have the desire and aptitude, you can learn everything they will "teach" you, for free! You will NEVER earn enough to repay the thousands of dollars you will spend initially, not to mention the add-on charges that will crop up every time you turn around. You will NOT be able to pay back your credit card within 60-90 days. So DON'T use OPM (Other People's Money) on this one! They will tell you they have "Trade Secrets" and "Custom Design" - BALONEY! Buyer Beware on this one.

I am so glad that I found this site. I was recently contacted by one of these scammers and they told me all about using other people's money and to just put it on my credit card. i was a little weary about the whole situtuation and at one point I actually felt like "hey this could work" then as I went to give them my credit card number I noticed that it was expired. They were really pushing me to get my credit card company to overnight the card. he even went as far as to ask if I had any of those checks that they send you. I told him no and he kept pushing it. In the end, they did register me for their classes without the money, however after reading this I going to tell him that I am not going to do it.

I am with all of you. Please do what is suggested by filing with the FBI, the FTC, call the governor of Utah, and file also with the Division of Consumer Protection of Utah. The more complaints they get the better. I was signed up by Platinum Training/Trading Solutions and was never told they were Thrive also. Their coaching was far from professional, which was promised. I could have gotten better answers from my 5 year old grandson. I am currently trying to get a refund also. Good Luck to everyone!!!!

One more thing, if you check Vanuity.LLC on BBB of Utah, they have a rating of F. That is another name Platinum Training/Trading Solutions go by.

Hi Still, I made the mistake of affiliating myself with Thrive too. Yes, the costs keep rising, but where is the income they talked about? Funny, my tuition was over $6k -some folks paid more, some less - apparently 'tuition' is the maximum they can bleed out of you at the time. These people are slick. Get your money back and avoid them. T -time-consuming H -hassles R -rip-off I -internet scam V - visa card maxed out E - earnings never seen

Just an update. I did receive a call back from Thrive while I was in the grocery store. I told them I was not interested and recited the many reasons why. She asked if I checked their BBB rating, which she said was an "A" and I told her it was actually a "C". I told her of the many people who had been ripped off (and could check this forum for herself). She said she was going to check their BBB rating again and just wished me luck with whatever I decide to do and I haven't heard from them since.
Sorry Misled, I didn't want to make a scene in the grocery store so I kept it short and direct so they wouldn't call me again.
I'd like to mention that Thrive got my phone number when I was signing up for MOIS. A window came up before I could register for MOIS asking if I might be interested in one-on-one coaching and would I give permission for the call. I don't remember reading exactly who would be calling. I purchased MOIS through Clickbank, so I don't know if Kimberly Hoffman has any control over this, but if she does, I would hope she'd make changes concerning Thrive. I have since received a refund for MOIS, I decided it wasn't for me. I'll keep searching and learning.
I also signed the petition.
Good luck to all and God Bless.
Thanks, Donna

Regarding the post by Bhavesh on July 8:
If the recent actions materialize and Thrive and/or its marketing companies are required to adhere to the Business Opportunity Disclosure Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 15, this is great news!
See for yourself, especially Sections 4-5
http://www.le.utah.gov/UtahCode/section.jsp?code=13-15
They can still do business, but people that really want to do it will be going into it INFORMED!

WOW, I haven't checked this thread in several weeks.
Looks like things are starting to turn against Thrive!
There are some people on here doing really well at putting the boots to Thrive.
You should all be proud of your efforts and realize, if you can stop these companies who have been scamming people for years, you can also build a sucessful business on the internet!
