I just found out about this auto-surf biz last night. I'm kind of confused. Do you need a website to join these? How do you make money? Can you make money without a website? What kinds of websites are advertised?

No you dont' need a website.
You make money by viewing others advertisements for a specific amount of time. 15- 30 seconds per ad on average.
Yes you can make money without a website.
Most of the ads tend to be for other Autosurf sites, Home Business Opportunities, or How To Books etc...
Autosurfing is very risky and it's going through many changes. I'm testing 2 sites right now. One is just like most of the old autosurf sites and the other is brand new in design and is not like anything else that I've seen. I'll be posting info on my blog as things develop. 1st payment pending on one site. They are both free to join and you can decide quickly if you like it or not. Some lady joined under me for $1 and never surfed again ... whoopie ... she made me a penny commission. See there! You can make money on the internet. It's collecting money that's a problem.

Some autosurfs are now turning to requiring websites as the industry begins to gear itself for compliance with SEC regulations. Anyhow, the money you spend in auto surf should not be more then what you are willing to spend for advertising. This way you will get the advertising you purchased 99.9% of the time and if you are fortunate enough to be in a program that will pay you for viewing other websites, consider it a bonus.
