I've been receiving a weekly newsletter from Jim Polak the owner of AutoSurfCentral.com and AutoSurfCentralCafe.com. If you're interested in the SEC / 12dailypro situation I would encourage you to read all about it from the links listed at AutoSurfCentral.com.

Many changes will be occuring in the paid to surf industry besides sites shutting down and running away, which I've seen too much of. It appears as though site owners will be adjusting their program scripts so they will be in compliance with the SEC's findings. The major things we'll see immediately is site owners insisting that you put at least one site in rotation to advertise. Failure to do so will be reason for suspension of services. Most folks are switching payment processors (gee, I wonder why?). The auto surf sites will not be able to fund many of these until you have purchased upgrades at that site using that payment processor. Also, they feel that the advertised sites are not being viewed by surfers. I hope they don't insist we turn our video cameras on ourselves to prove we are watching the ads. I surf in my underwear...'nuff said

Good news! I've been paid by one site already this morning (3/1/2006) and I received a refund a week ago from another. I'll be updating my blog soon and have begun a new test of sites and payment processors. The entire StormWar may take a very very long time to sort though and it has had such a huge ripple down effect on so many programs and people. I think the changes we'll see happening could have long term positive impact on the paid to surf industry.

There is an update on 12dp's blog

http://newclicksinfo.blogspot.com

A preview of things to come...

I am sure many of you have noticed a flood of autosurf sites making their arrival on the industry scene, despite clear SEC warnings. There are also a number of existing sites tweaking their terms in hopes of avoiding problems.

While many sites are busy either ignoring the SEC warnings or simply hoping that the changes they have made to their autosurf will protect them from legal problems, we are taking another approach. I will leave those sites to take their chances with the SEC and their members money, while I forge ahead in a new direction.

Long before any of this happened, our company was in the process of moving toward a focus on more mainstream web marketing and advertising. Those plans have not changed. While we continue to cooperate with the SEC in every possible way they ask of us to aid in a quick resolution and return of funds, we are also looking ahead to the future. A future that many of you have heavily encouraged us to build.

The new site we had originally planned has been shelved. Even though it was not an autosurf, we have decided to make a complete departure from that arena and make a fresh start. Know that the business plan will be vetted by whoever necessary before launch to insure a solid, long-lasting, and 'legally bullet proof' program.

Because if the vulture-like nature of some admins in this industry, we cannot divulge much about the program at this time. But visit this page often for general updates that we will share regarding our progress.

Thank you all for your support during this time. I continue to pray for you all.

Hopefully, the SEC will provide well defined regulations that will allow the industry to continue to flourish and be profitable. I think that they just need to understand how the business works and implement regulations that will prevent fraud.

Funny,

I heard that receiver in this case had people trying to scam him to access the millions he is empowered with from 12DP. lol Wonder what everyone will get back when all is said and done and receiver grabs his millions?

Good luck to all, Mike
