Hey guys! Just asking out of curiousity. I know alot will say all of the above, but you need to weigh it in. Surely it is geared towards something. I simplified it to 5 categories. Hope I didn't miss anything.

As for me I save it.

Leverage would be my second once I saved enough.

 Hi Glitch,

Thanx for the useful poll :)

I thought it might help to define the Needs category with a little detail in my reply so I hope you don't mind if I take the liberty.

Needs might be described as basic necessities as well as their modern counterparts. These days needs have evolved from food, shelter, water, clothing, and love.

Not too long ago cars and air conditioning were considered luxury items. Some still think that they are. I feel they are now a part of the basic needs category - at least in the USA.

So needs or necessary expenses might include: food, water, shelter (mortgage or rent), clothing, cars, utility bills, medical care, dental care, computer and internet expenses, basic business (livelihood) expenses, dependents (family) expenses, and similar.

Most folks will buy as much house and car as they can afford. As such, the two are usually the biggest combined monthly expense. Utilities, food, and dependents expenses are quite high as well.

The trick is not to buy so much house and car that funds are so tight that they are hard to hang on to and there is very little left over for other things. It takes a little self discipline when buying these two necessities and most folks overdo it :)

That said, most of my monthly income goes into the "Needs" category as defined and explained above.

You are right though, I spend in every category each month. I've been putting more and more into retirement, animal rights and environment charities, and emergency funds.

Reinvesting in the biz is required for rapid, healthy growth.

Planning, balancing disbursement, and monitoring is very helpful.

Thanks for pointing that out Newbie shield sorry I didn't define it, I was more on letting them have their own take on it and then decide.

People who work online to make a living would go for needs.

Where as, people who want to work online to save up for a trip to Disney World would be something as wants.

But again, wanted to be general to have few categories.

Depends , if you work from home, and the public transport system is good, you do not really need a car.

I think a lot depends on how the person is treating his online business. If it's just a hobby and a part-time income, then He is more likely to spend the income on luxuries or trivial purchases. However, if the business is His sole income, then he will be just likely to treat the income as from a regular business.

That being said, different persons will have their own way of spending and saving as Newbie Shield said.

Usually, my income is to supplement my husband's outside of the home job. Here lately, though, I have been keeping some out to go back into advertising for my affiliate marketing.

Usually have to spend my money on needs, bills, car etc.

Occassionally try to save but these days it seems to mainly go on needs.

I spend a lot of mine right now, investing back into my online business. The rest goes into the bank for a rainy day.
