Just interested if the individual lenses get decent page rank?

The homepage is PR7 so that must rub off on the subpages?

Let me know what you have achieved.

Thanks James

Hi James,

I have four lenses at the moment. I have a PR 4 lens. That happened in less than 2 months.

Actually the answer to your question is a bit complicated but I will try my best to clarify a bit. You don't automatically get page rank just because your a second level domain on Squidoo.

However, there are many ways to suck a little PR from Squidoo. And by many, I mean MANY. Still, it's largely up to the usual SEO reasons as to why you get PR on Squidoo.

One thing I will say for sure is that since it is one of the best web 2.0 sites, Google and other SEs do tend to favor lenses quite a bit. In other words you rank high and can build up PR much quicker than on a hosted site.

I hope that helps

Yes a lot of folks put up a junk lens and then abandon it. That's a good way to get stuck with a PR2 lens that generates very little traffic.

Like with any site, you have to put in some planning, research, and effort if you want a PR4 lens or higher.

The lenses are exceptionally quick and easy to make. As I've mentioned, if you put in an average amount of effort, you'll do very well in a record short period of time.

But junk and abandonment don't work with any site.

Common sense.

Hi Marktech,

You can install the Google Toolbar and enable the PR function:

Have fun
