I'm new to West and looking to purchase a headset. I'm in training now and it looks like softphone has all the phone controls needed (mute, etc.) so I was wondering if I really needed the headset and amplifier or if I could get away with just purchasing the headset and connecting it to my phone? Also what does everyone prefer, wired to the phone or wireless? Thank you in advance for any input.

I use a cordless phone with a headset that I got at Target for $12 it works great!!

I went to Radio Shack and got a headset that I plug into my cordless phone. Works great although, I paid $35 for mine... Wished I would have thought about looking at Target!!

I was under the impression that wireless phone or headset is not allowed in the West program. I'm sure this has something to do with security issues related to wireless phones.

I found a really good one on ebay, it has noise cancellation. I've just got to hook it up when I get my second line.
