I have been working with data entry and affiliate programs for a few years now and I have been making great money. I have also learned what works and what doesn't.

I have had the idea to create my own data entry/work at home/affiliate program. I have set up with various companies who will offer traditional data entry jobs. I have also set up a tutorial on how to get set up with affiliate programs and how to market the products. Now with this I am wondering if it is legal to create tutorial videos that capture the screens of various sites? An example would be a tutorial video screen capture of how to sign up and choose a product using click bank.

I know most of the information is available to people over the internet free but searching can be tough and people seem to be lazy. So I figure since I have done this and have basically all the steps that people need to follow then they can buy it from me.

Anyway my real issue is the legal rights. If I am allowed to create tutorial videos on how to use various sites step by step or not. I would be charging a fee for the program.

Thanks

The sollution for this is very simple.

You should just ask the site owners if they agree to your proposal.

Personally I am sure they will, because they will get traffic from it, so why not?

This is a great idea, update us about your progress, and good luck.

Hi Aldanson,

I'm sure they wouldn't object to something like that. I'm sure they'd actually appreciate it in most cases.

Offer Truriel gave the proper solution - when in doubt, contact the webmasters of the sites in question.

It sounds like you're coming along well.

I'm not sure what the legalities are (try looking for a forum that answers legal questions), but it is a fairly common practice, especially for sites like Clickbank.

Be sure to ask permission of the sites. They'll tell you which portions they'd like to keep confidential.

I think it's a great idea. The more transparent you can be, the easier it will allay the fears of people interested in doing data entry. You've picked a good niche to clear up the issues. If your site clarifies the "Is it a scam or not issue?", then it sounds like you could do very well with you business.

I hope it works out for you.
