Personally, I make most of my online revenue by promoting affiliate programs and Google Adsense.

Like getagrip, adsense and affiliate sales is my major source of revenue.
Personally, I think google adsense is a great way of learning internet marketing and making your first $100. Once you are able to make money from adsense, you should be able to scale up your online revenue.

I think the independent profit center is the best online business opportunity out there. You can start earning immediately and you get $200.00 for every sale you make over and over. You will be on profit mode within 24hrs and they walk you through every step!

There are countless, solid ways to make money. I think it is more about the marketing strategy you are able or willing to apply in order to produce cash flow.
You can go with affiliate offers, to biz opportunities, to adsense websites, but none make you money unless you are applying a viable marketing strategy, and in many cases budgeted to consistently apply your marketing strategy so that success emerges.

FreeCashMan, that's very good advice! Most people think there's a button that you can click on that says, "Make money!" And you automatically will...it doesn't work like that.

FreeCashMan, well said man! Yes it is true there is no such thing as push button and make money.
Is all about marketing and generating targeted traffic to your website. Is a numbers game the more eyeball looking at your site the more chances of getting sales.
No point having awesome website and fantastic pay plan but if nobody visit your website you are dead in the water man.

Very well stated FreeCashMan, and right on the money!
When it comes to making money, online or offline, one should never confuse where to position the proverbial horse in relation to the cart. Contrary to the hype you see every now and then, the product never really "sells itself"; it's the marketing system that does the heavy lifting every time and converts the sales.
So, if you focus more on how you promote and then figure out ways to refine your strategies, the results will eventually relegate what you promote to secondary importance.
Here's an analogy to demonstrate the point:
If you were to put a brand new driver behind the wheel of a Formula One racing car, and have him compete with a seasoned race car professional driving a turbo-charged street car, who do you think would win?
When you compare the products (Formula One machine vs street car) the odds would seem to favor the Formula One machine... on paper anyway.
But when you consider the experience, skill and confidence of the operators, it's obvious that the professional has a superior "system" to draw from and could easily parlay that to victory driving the less competitive vehicle.

I do various things to make money online. Most get paid to. It's pretty simple, free, and requires little time. It's been working for me.

I think the key here is to research the many ways people are using the internet to make money and find out if any of them actually interest you beyond just the money end of it. If you can make money from something but hate doing it.........it won't last long and chances are you may not be profitable with it. For me, I like network marketing. And for the next guy, network marketing might be his nightmare. Ask yourself what you are like to do and what you feel you are good at. What do you bring to the table? Then find the opportunity that fits in with you and learn about it. Not every shoe fits every person!

it is NOT selling, anyone selling out there to the 8.5 billion people that don't know about the home based business phenomenon are too busy working as hard as the slave jobs they thought this was setting them free from... the key is driving them to you...they gotta love you!... its all about building a connective branded personal image online that you can really build a connection with your prospects... i'd rather have 10 people that genuinly interested in what i talk about goto my site because they know how to close and how to market or can learn from my webinars but they want to take it to the next step... I work mainly online using socializing services to gain a following of people who actually already care about what I do before you go and show them... that is the magic to getting it to go fast I totally believe.

Spot on, BestBoss4meisme, most people have sales radar and will click away from your site in seconds if you are too salesy.
Trust is a key factor. I have been fairly successful with blogging. If you are passionate about what you are blogging about and gain the trust of your readers (which isn't that hard if you know what you are talking about in your posts) then subtly monetize your blog, with a couple of ads in the side bar, a relevant ebook (affiliate offer), or an email autoresponder then you can do well.
People like to feel like they connect with you. If you can build that kind of connection and trust, then you can sell ice to an eskimo.

I have been trying a system called My Online Income System MOIS by Kimberly Hoffman. I have been loving it so far. Great step by step action plan, great back office area and built in forum with moderatos that answer your questions. This is great for total newbies like me.
You have to have something to address the huge learning curve and give you structure with a min of hype and for me, this has kept me going

Don't worry about earning money at the start, just go for the traffic. If you can get the traffic, you can then start working out how to maximise the money. Lots of people try for the money immediately and are disappointed - it doesn' happen that way.
