I have been making some good money as an affiliate but I want to become a vendor. I don't have the skills to make a program or high tech website to promote it. I was thinking of buying an established website that would run mostly on auto pilot. Any suggestions for me. i am new at this.

You'd probably have to buy something on eBay, and make sure to verify the traffic statistics through Alexa.com or some other source.

Yeah, you can either get one at an auction site or from a site broker.
Then again, some hosting sites have some pretty nice tools on some of the upgraded packages. You might be able to find what you are looking for if you pay a decent hosting site around 30/month.

yeah I have been checking them out but they seem like they would be difficult to maintain. Some are financial sites, forums and even online free game sites. My knowledge is minimal. I know html to an extent and I am familiar with the design aspect of a site. I just don't want to buy something that is over my head. Send some more feedback, what type of site would you suggest to be a good buy for a beginner?

I would personally suggest you build your our own site, you can earn with even a simple site with basic HTML

okay i have a simple site with affiliate links on it but how am i going to get traffic? I been posting on forums, blogs, and im not really getting much. Made 57 cents with adsense

Hey, I just noticed that all of your sites are Squidoo! LOL, no wonder you aren't making much money. You need a blog and a hosted site! Go Daddy is very cheap plus you get a free domain. You can join MPM in my sig and get an additional discount.

I second Newbie Shield on this one, you need to get a hosting account and domain names. You can even buy just one domain name for starters and host your websites on subdomains of that domain name, but that way you'll have your own hosting space and you can be in control of how you lay out and use your site, and having your own domain name makes it more legit.
You can get a cheap domain name at GoDaddy or at Namecheap. Then get some cheap hosting... I used to have a list of cheap hosts, but I can't pull it up at the moment, when I find it I'll post it.
Then set up a website using basic HTML or a simple CMS, again there are many free options out there.
After that, follow all the ideas you've been given here - write and submit articles, press release, post links in sigs in forums, leave comments on blogs with your link (make sure it's allowed and that your posts and comments are useful), submit your sites to search engines, etc.

I just posted my own website last week. I used a WYSIWYG program called SiteSpinner. It only took a couple of evenings to do. If you click the first link in my signature, you can see my new website. It wasn't that hard to do.

Has nayone had any experience with dropship selling? I found one that offers a free website, but $10 month hosting, which is not a bad price. The website they give you is already set up with 2 different dropshippers and all the products they offer. So, I could sell right from the website or on eBay. It sounds easy enough, but just wondering what experiences people have had with it. I am mainly concerned about the prices of the produsts. The ad gives an example of a 50% profit margin on the products, but if they cost too much from the wholsaler, I wouldn't be able to charge that much. My husband thinks it would generate more profit than Affiliate Links. I know the key with either one would be traffic.
