 Well I've been looking around legal and medical transcription job listings, and if there isn't a 1-7 year experience requirement there is a schooling requirement. Just a question for those who got into this field... Did you all have previous experience? In the medical field or just took classes for this type of job? Or something similar to that.

 For medical transcription, some sort of training or medical background is required

 I trained for medical, which does require training, but general and legal transcription don't, as long as you have good English and grammar skills.
 
 There are several general tx companies that I've heard of that hire w/o experience. Mountain West an Tigerfish are two that don't, I believe, but there are more.
