 Hi
How should I make my money,
I have around 4-6 hours a day free, depending on the day, and hardly have any technical skills, but have a friend who will do it at discounted rates.
So, what should I do, is it worth setting up and e-commerce, or should I stay basic and go for a proxy network, or something in the middle like just a normal website??

 Thanks
 Simon

You could take a shot at affiliate marketing - you promote products from company websites in exchange for a commission. It is not east and will take some hard work, but it can really pay off if you play your cards right...

If you have that much time available, you could certainly build a decent niche (topic) website. You don't necessarily have to have the technical skills to do it; I didn't!

You can start with building a content site on something you know about or have an interest in and then start monetizing it with affiliate marketing, Adsense, etc. As your business develops you could start adding your own products and/or services if you wanted and boost your profits.

That's just one of the options available to you. It's what I decided to do starting out and I have quite enjoyed learning and doing the whole process.

 Blessings,
 Angie

 thanks for the tips guys.
Angie, I really like football, (soccer) but am worried the market for websites might already be too big for a little website, such as mine, to be able to compete with some of the bigger websites. Would you say it was worth a try? Or should I just leave it?
 Thanks in advance
 Simon

 Hi Simon,

I'd say it is definitely woth a shot. You don't want to make it so general as football or soccer. You need to narrow it down to a tighter niche. Maybe a particular aspect of soccer like learning soccer plays or a about a particular team or soccer souvenirs or soccer jerseys...

I don't know a whole lot about the sport (you can probably tell by my suggestions)
but I hope you get the idea. You want to narrow it to a tighter focus so that you can beat out the big guys.
The secret will be doing good keyword research to find what searchers are typing into the search engines. You then build individual pages of content information about each of those phrases. It takes a little time to build up the free traffic, but it comes if you do the work.

If it's something you really enjoy you can eventually write a good ebook about some related aspect of it and sell that on your site, too. Maybe you'll put your ebook on clickbank and get other people to promote it for you and increase your sales. There is a lot of potential.

I'm going to send you a link to a free affiliate marketing course that you should read through. It will help you get a feel for what I'm talking about. You'll see the principles behind it and how you can beat the big boys if you do it right. Check your private messages.

 Blessings,
 Angie

 Hi again Angie
My plan was to start small (Daily news, match reports) with a small forum, then if there was interest i was going to expand the website to include some tutorials and things like that....
I am building a template atm, and am a content writer myself, so should be able to do the keywords and things lol
  Thanks for the PM
  simon

I'm not sure if that's the way to go or not. Starting with a forum may be a struggle if there are other popular forums already on the subject. You may be better starting with the content and then adding a forum once you build up a site that gets a lot of visitors.

A dry, barren forum is a sad, sad place.

I'm not a pro by any means, so feel free to ignore me.
I've not built a forum so maybe some others will chime in and give their opinions.
 Blessings,
 Angie
 P.S. Your welcome.

You probably have a point there. Although I could probably employ some chep forum posters. I agree with you though, an empty forum can be quite off-putting for some people (me included)

If you wanted to build a forum maybe it would be an idea to build a community first, you don't even need a website. Using the social networks facebook myspace, etc. Put out your "Daily news, match reports" out through these ways will get more exposure. Maybe even through video. Then you will see the community build and follow (or not). A blog is always handy in the equation, but not essensial if you just want to test the idea. And you mention that you are a content writer, well you could create some special monthly content for your paid
forum. Then leading people in through your free conent on your myspace/facebook/blog. Just Bouncing some ideas.

Choose a related subject, which people will research online

 Hi Lethal,
So I'm a little unsure as to what your original idea was exactly. What did you mean by:
 lethalboom: (Daily news, match reports
Can you give a little more detail on what you wanted to do. All the suggestions thus far are VERY good for marketing niche type sites, I've found happywife, mountainmom and getagrip are very well versed in niche marketing. I would like to add my two cents as well but I really don't have a good grasp on what it is you're trying to do exactly.

find a nice domain, buy it, rent a good hosting with fantastico.
And then build a wordpress blog + phpbb forum with fantastico, as simple as few clicks

In addition to the Awesome Wealthy Affiliate University, another user-friendly way to get going making money online is open an eBay retail store.
I have had two eBay stores for years before I joined Wealthy Affiliate, and if you have a little niche you can do very well.
I would be happy to help or answer any questions you may have!
 Victoria
