I was told about this 2 days ago and have been thinking about it since:

http://www.howtogetprospects.com/privatedatabase/index1.htm

It's advertised as a new list of 678,000+ network marketers.

I got in touch with the guys selling it to see how old this is. Their email back said it was compiled 7 weeks ago and some of the distributor lists such as the 94000 Monavie distributors are brand new.

I'm thinking of buying this.

They're only releasing a few copies. Which may be true or not, I don't know but it's a bit of an investment.

I've been buying biz opp leads and those work out well for our team. But these are actual MLMers. With phone and email information. I'd rather have my team contacting MLMers especially since we're on a binary system. Just 1 good leader on either side and I'll be quite well off!!

And me and my team would have almost 700,000 network marketer distributors to work through.

But, again, it's a bit of an investment.

I'm thinking of splitting the costs with 1 or 2 of my leaders though...

Thoughts?

ps. I know some of you guys just do internet marketing so I guess this isn't really relevant to you. But MLM-ites ... what do you think??

You will never know how often they sell this list nor how many others are selling the same list.

One thing you must bear in mind is that these people have not asked to be contacted. Some of the contact's information will not be current. And many others will not be happy with your call. And if you send them an email - it will be like what I do - I delete it. And if I get a call from someone I don't recognize, I don't answer. And I would just delete the message if you left one.

So don't expect to get most people to answer their phones.

It is not to say it won't work for you but many of these people will not be receptive to you and you must be able to deal with that. But you may want to hire a VA (Virtual Assistant) so that you can go through a large number of leads quickly. Strike while the iron is hot because many will be using this same list.

A lead is only as good as the person working it.

680k leads is a lot and they have not requested information from you so your conversion rate will probably be very low. Working the list over the phone you could take the next 3 years. The list is $700 how many signups do you need to break even?

For a lead like this I would expect a lead in product to be the best offer instead of pitching them directly on the business. Do you have an info product you can offer them for free to get them to opt-in?

Get free leads from Orangeleads.com. I wouldn't pay for leads anymore. That's costly.

I prefer paid advertising. I've always gotten better results that way.

You can harvest information of present day genealogy lists using various software tools out there like lead dawg or phone gold miner. Why pay someone for those lists when the stuff is public knowledge. I harvest this information all day long and contact people via mass broadcasting. I ONLY want to speak with oppty BUYERS and NOT oppty seekers. I want people who have put their money on the table and not tire kickers. So yes these sort of names and emails are worth their weight in gold. And then are B2B calls because anyone that is advertising their biz online is a business.

I then have a call center, or virtual assts, or telemarketers make the calls for me to these people so they can be truly qualified and I can be edified as the leader people are looking for. ONLY THEN do I get on the phone with these people and give them info on my tool or business and then go for the close.

Hope that helps.

Chris

I have seen this same post on several other boards I'm a member of. Where's the guy that says "I grabbed one, only 2 left"? I thought he would join before now.

This guy is trying to get you to buy this list, ignore the OP.

I would definately NOT get such lists. I prefer to stick to my own leads ... at least I know they have a higher conversion rate
