Are you tired of keeping up with the endless list of new rules Google makes you follow with PPC? If So, then you would love AdBrite.
Just google AdBrite and it will come up. Adbrite is a great way to use PPC and to get a ton of traffic. Doesn't have all of those goofy rules that Google has and your CPC will be lower. Try it out

Adwords is next to impossible, or so it seems to me anyway. after trying many times. Anyone had any experiece with Adbrite? What are the best things to promote with adbrite?

I don't even think about adwords or any ppc I'll lose my butt and I know it. I've heard too many lose money stories so I stay clear.

IMO, the average person can not compete with adwords. The CPC is way to high. That why, I assume, the cost of work from home programs keeps increasing exponentially. It used to be easy to find work from home programs for $20 to $50... now google seems flush with programs that are $299 to $1000 or more... and they are essentially the same exact thing. Nothing has changed except the price tag.
That being said, I'd forgotten about adbrite. I would also be interested to know if anyone is using the adbrite service with any success. Most of the smaller PPC search engins generate junk traffic that does not convert... Can anyone attest to the quality of adbrite traffic?

I've heard that with Adbrite, the ads that your site gets displayed for are often very irrelevant to the content on the site. Its kinda like the content network that you can use for Google, but less targeted, at least that's what I hear...

I tried out Adbrite a couple years ago and never really had much success though I do agree that the CPC is much more reasonable than adwords...
The key to success with Adwords is focusing on long tailed keywords and common misspells. Your CPC will be much lower and it decreases the likelihood of things like competitor clicks- where they click your ad to size up your website and see how it compares to their own.
Additionally, advertise pages that have the best chance of eliciting a response- something unique, not generic...
Review sites are phenomenal weapons in Adwords advertising but in my opinion the best option is to offer something free that is relevent to their search and get them to enter their name and email address to obtain it. This gives you the best value for your dollar since you've established their interest and you can send follow up offers that pertain to their interest.

My experience is that sometimes google isn't relevant either no matter what you do and if you try to get them to fix it they blow you off. So I am always looking for better ads that actually make sense and money.

Sonni, I couldn't agree more. Any question or problem you have with adworks takes an act of Congress to get resolved. I had some moderate success with adwords in the past but I'm through with them because of their blatant lack of customer service.

man that sux, i really dont like that. I use msn adcenter, and its ok.
I used to get a ton of traffic with it but im not bidding high with keywords now.
I'm not gonna mess around with it too much, and i watch it like a hawk for any funny business.
I dont know about adbrite, but i would be more interested in their adsense-type program.

I agree with CopynProfit - Adbrite has FAR too much click fraud.
On the other hand Google does have a rather high stupid tax.
If you just play roulette with Google you are guaranteed to lose. I've studied the nuances with one of my high traffic sites as a test bed and discovered you can make money, but, you have to be very smart about implementation, tracking and testing. Kind of a pain - but it's worth it.
In fact, last week I received a call and my caller id indicated it was Google - Oh Crap - I'm in trouble I thought. Nope! Turns out they wanted to have me talk to three of their team members to see if there is a way "they" and I could work closer together to increase revenue.
Needless to say - WOW!
I have not had the phone meeting yet but I'll post the update.

I ran adsense in a site and earned me over $200 a month. I tested with adbrite which earned me just $20.
Ads were totally irrelevant and some porn ads too 
My website was regarding earning money in internet and ads came for loans, insurance and meet a single today. Who will bother to click. Even if they click advertisers end up in untargeted visitors.
So in adbrite, advertiser wnd up with loss and not the value of money he pays in for. Adwords is my love

I would love to see success with Adwords, but unless you have money to burn in getting it right, I cannot see how to win with it.

Like anything else, you'll have to spend quite a bit of time studying before you try it out or you'll lose money.
One tip I have is to learn how to track effectively.

I've had several phone discussions with the Google Adsense team in which they offered optimization techniques and suggestions. Some worked some not-so-good. You have to remember... they are financially inspired also so not everything you read is to your advantage.
A couple of key suggestions...
#1 - Make sure your ATF (above the fold) Adsense ads have notes on them in your Adsense control panel. This is your opportunity to tell advertisers a little about your site.
#2 - Select image and text ads in your ad setup. Higher paying advertisers tend to use image ads.
#3 - Don't believe the story about blending your ads into your site design. I've been using Adwords/Adsense for over 4 years now and I can tell you without a doubt ROTATE colors. Don't make them outlandish but my income goes up when I ROTATE colors.

If you go there pay close attention to placement and color. Nothing is by accident on that site!!!! It is a result of staying REALLY close to the Google Adsense team and years of testing.

Welcome to the forum.
I thought you might like to know that each of your sig links have www. twice in a row.
I agree with the rotation advice but only in that it works with return visitors. I think that it's the rotation that has the impact rather than either blending or not blending. It's the change that attracts attention.
It's best to experiment with both blending and contrasting colors. It may be a good idea to blend for a while and then use a contrasting color scheme for a while.
By the way, your Adsense is actually nicely blended - the blue ad titles closely match your current logo color and the red ad hyperlinks closely match the current post title color.
"Blending" means matching the color elements of a site rather than "to make bland" or "difficult to notice" as some might believe. The idea is to blend in with the site and you've done a nice job of this. I like it.

Adwords requires a lot of testing but when you get it right its worth it. Only ever get into adwords if your work direclty with an expert.

any comments on how the new "interest based" ads will work for us as both publishers and advertisers?
Seems like as a publisher I may now have lower priced ads showing on my site.

Adwords works, but like Gavin said, you need to constantly test and tweak your ads and what keywords you are using but when you get it right it becomes very profitable and automatic money in the bank.

Hard to believe, but I heard Google laid off 200 people recently. Think that will have any impact on PPC prices, or has the damage already been done. I wouldn't know because I'm still wary of PPC but think of using it often.

Hi,
I am using google adwords, so far so good.
But, I am spending $100 per month for adwords,
It seems too much investment out of my profit..
I am just getting traffic but, sales.
I don't know How I should do for my next move..
Google adwords work, but only for who can afford big investments.
I am going to stick with them, I believe someday my investment will
be paid back!!!~~
