Have any of you tried advertising your products on paidtoclick.com or rent-a-list.com? If so, what kind of success did you have?

Paid-to-Click mailing programs are programs that can get decent numbers of clicks to a website but very few to NONE will be buying. This us untargeted traffic.
Paid-to-click participants are looking to promote their OWN program mostly.
I've heard that mass mailings traffic is a little more targeted than Paid-to-click. I've heard that solo type ad mailings work better but are also more expensive.
Of course, having your own list of targeted customers in a particular niche to mail to would be ideal - THAT is targeted traffic.

I agree with Mark, my experience is that nearly all of the traffic you are going to get on a paid-to-click campaign will be untargeted and will not convert for you.

I have to agree with all of you. I spent $10 for 1000 clicks. I advertised an inexpensive product for $12. I did not get any sales.

jhoe just proves the point that the traffic that paid-to-click generates for you is no where near targeted enough to generate the final sales that we all need. There are much higher quality traffic generation methods avaliable to our online business models, we just need to be willing to invest the time and energy to make them work for us.

Its a complete waste of time if you ask me, Google Adwords is the way to go.

Have you had any luck with Google Adwords? If so, how long have you been using it?
I have only tried Adwords sparingly over the last few weeks - made only 1 sale, on my first ad, that Google didn't like and later raised my bid price to $10.00. Since then, I have tried 5-6 other ads. I have had basically three problems - 1) Initially, Google tells me it will only cost $.25 - $.35 for a keyword, but after I place the ad (with the keyword in the Title and Display URL) the bid price goes up to $1.00 - $1.25 to get on the first page. 2) I have been told the bid price will go down within a short period of time - I have yet to see this. And, 3) I pay the bid price to get on the 1st page, I get clicks, but no sales - when paying $1.00/click, you only affor 15 -25 clicks to still make a profit on most Clickbank products.
If you have experience with Google Adwords, I would like to hear from you if you have had sililar problems and how you may have worked around these problems.

I might be wrong, but i think people are using autoclickers, to click to your sites, so its traffic, but a human isn't even seeing it.
thats what i think is happening.

I know, one of them but I can not promote them in this forum..

All your repliers are right, all these ppc site make money from you and rarely for you. There are some people who can make these sites work for them but they're a rarer breed than you would expect from all the hype about these sites.
