You can try reading the free Affiliate Masters Course. It gives you a general step by step outline and understanding about the affiliate marketing side of internet marketing.

It's available in the free ebook section of my site if you want to download it.

Some people have found that going through the 30 Day Challenge has been helpful in giving them a basic start. That may be of interest to you as it is also free.

Blessings,
Angie

You can learn the basics of internet marketing at steve weber's classroom. He offers quite a lot of free stuffs that are useful especially for newbies. Just google " steve's classroom" and you should be able to find his site.

Steve is a very helpful marketer and I have benefited a lot from his assistance.

There's a lot of material out there and I just want to give a fair warning to beware of sites and ebooks that promise to be able to deliver the world, especially the marketing ebooks that cost you.

Most of the time, these ebooks will tell you how to use a safelist (free or paid services) or traffic exchanges and you'll end up spending more time on those with false hopes and end up with broken dreams and a broken will.

The best way to really learn how to properly market is to either take a marketing course in college or to find a sponsor in a program that's able to communicate with you and help you along the way.

The best marketer isn't only someone that know's how to perform relationship building but also knows how to get the world out to people on multiple platforms from social media, forums, video marketing, blogs, etc without having to resort to the ever so dreaded spam, safelists and traffic exchange methods.

All in all, it also depends on the person, YOU. What would work for me may not work for someone else. This is why me being the lead sponsor in Worm Viral Team, I research and utilize not only viral methods but also direct marketing methods to find everything that works and the best way to work it.

So all in all it boils down to a few factors. You and your personality and what sponsor you choose and how you go about learning.

I know it's not the direct answer you're looking for, but it's the best possible advice.

since I'm telling you to look for a good sponsor, let me tell you what a good sponsor is. A good sponsor isnt just someone that can recruit tons of people quickly, a good sponsor is someone who can help you grow, teach you what works, will be there for you when you need help and assistance and is someone you can rely on.

There are too many bad sponsors out there. There are bad sponsors who suck at marketing and there are bad sponsors who are excellent with marketing and can drag in 100's of people a week without a sweat.
