Well, this probably isn't new, but I'm sure a hell of a lot of you wouldn't of have heard of this before! What it is meant to do, is establish yourself as a professional and a mentor, while at the same time create interest in your product and yourself leading to a potential sale. I personally learnt about this technique when someone did it to me. What you do is you find a website, one that is in your particular niche, for example, my website being predominantly focused on marketing online, and then you critique or criticise it and tell them how to make it better/more attractive/more effective.

The guy who did it to me, although he wasn't very good at it, it actually made me follow through and click his link which is often one of the hardest things to get done. The reason why his was so ineffective is because he had obviously not looked at my website, and just copy pasted some generic information off Google, but if you actually give valuable information directly, that can really make a difference and could lead to a long term customer.

Obviously it will be hard the first couple of times to get the hang of it, but the extra 5 minutes spent doing this could lead to a lot more money made in the future and some valuable training as well!

This might be an effective technique, but it might not be - sounds kind of like relationship building. If you link back to your website when you do this, you have to be careful, and the reason is that some domain companies see this as spamming someone, and they will yank your domain if you do this...and charge you a $150 to $200 fee to get it back.

Essentially if you're talking about reading information from a blog or website about a niche, say IT, Design, Dog Care, etc and had a link to an MLM company of some kind, then the guy is performing Viral Marketing.

Always best to try and write your own content when viral marketing, provide a service for free so members join and send invites or create some software people can spread around for free.
