 Hi,
Does anyone else use squeeze pages to build a list?

I have a few that I am using to collect names/emails.

I also offer a service that provides the squeeze page and copy for less than $100 which I post on a squeeze page.

I am looking to hear who else uses this technique.

ZSqueeze pages are the pages you see that ask you to fill out information or that have you read a smort blurb and then shoot you off to another site. Usually a squeeze page is the page between you and your referal site. Like my homepage used to be and is still somewhat of a squeeze page. There is some iniformation and then a link to an outside company(GDI) where you can get more indepth info.

Like a presell page if you will.
 Or a list building page.

Dumb question - what do we need them for? When would you use one and how? Examples?

You need them for 2 reasons.
First to gather names and email addresses so you can build a list to market to.
Second, so you can sell a product or service. you can see an example here and check it out for yourself.

if you place them in traffic exchanges you tend to get good results, or in forum sig links, or on your craigslist ads, or in any number of ways to build a marketing list. Good for free marketing, i've not done much beyond getting a few 100 names and then marketing to them directly.

There are ways to use them very effectively if you know how

Yes, I use a squeeze page and also a page that is a combination squeeze/splash page for search engines. My squeeze page itself is slightly longer with more content on it to tell people exactly what they will be getting when they sign up, whereas the squeeze/splash is much shorter to catch people's attention on the traffic exchanges. I still need to do more testing though as so far they haven't really brought in good results. Still, it is a new business so things are taking time to get sorted out.

Is email marketing really all that effective? I'm not a big fan of email marketing. Most of the email I recieve from Internet marketers end up in the spam folder and I just check all and delete them right away. Being an Internet Marketer myself I might look at them to see if there's anything I could use but I never click on their link because I know the're either gonna get 100% of the sale or a percentage of it. :/

I think that using a squeeze pages is a great way to make a list or just generate leads. I used to spend $300 - $600 a month buying leads from the lead generation companies. To get the leads all they did was place squeeze pages on the net. I used to run into the ads all the time. I figured I should learn the technique and have more targeted leads.

What a great idea. I started making pages and putting my info on them and instead of calling someone that didnt remember what they had signed up for they actually remembered my info from my page. The trick is to put them in the right places.

Ive started using them in the traffice exchanges as well as all the forums I frequent. Getting good results. Plus as ive learned web design now I can make as many as I want and test out new ideas all the time. I encourage everyone to use them. Another benefit is that ive been able to make pages for others and earn an income from it. Plus I created a generic page that I give to all my downline for my Coastal business.

I don't know if this is considered squeeze page, or not, but i use a site called WT Powers [Link removed - Admin]. They provide landing pages, a great splash page with a very good interview process, and you can mess with the meta tags, add a picture, etc. But in addition to that, you have tons of tools you can use to market your business. The service is very inexpensive and offers an affiliate ability. Now, i know i am admitting i use it as an affiliate, but this is not an ad to get customers. I don't promote the WT Powers site, i just use it to drive traffic to my primary business, the one in my sig file. I'm only offering this as it may be of assistance to some of you who like me are newbies when it comes to internet marketing.
