The main keyword is the subject of your page or article. The body of the article may have keywords related to your keywords. The keyword phrase in your title should be repeated several times in the body of your text if possible to get better search rankings.

 Hope this helps.

Marktech is right. Your keyword doesn't have to be in the subject but it definitely helps to optimize it for google ranking. The more times it is in the page the better. You also want to do some research on keywords to make sure that you are using the best ones and to make sure you don't have too much competition for the keyword.

The keyword should be relevant to the product, used in the title and tags and sprinkled throughout the content .If you over-use the keyword, you might be accused of SPAM , and nothing is more annoying to the writer, being accused..as often it is not intentional.
 Smile!

Your brain is the best place to find keywords. What do people type in when they search?

The way I use keywords is this. I research to find the keywords and phrases related to my niche that people are typing into the engines.

I then build a page around that particular word or phrase.

I include the main keyword in the tags, headline, first paragraph, last paragraph, and a text link. Depending on the length of the page I may add it one or two more times along with a sprinkling of supporting related keywords and that seems to do the trick.

One of the motto's I've taken on board from SBI is "keeping it real." Provide information people are looking for and follow the basic principles of keyword research and page building and the rest will just fall into place. So far, so good...

If you are interested, a wonderfully simple, yet powerful keyword research tool that has helped me tremendously can be found at http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword. Use it to locate profitable niches then do a quotation search in google just as long as there are more than 2,000 searches in the keyword research tool for the the keyword or phrase you are researching, and also less than 10,000 results in Google. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information on the keyword tool. I like it much better than what I've been using!

 Hi tidbits,

Beside the keyword tool, there are a lot of things in the website. So go and explore them.
