Has anybody used this service? I opted for their service and have had a pretty bad experience.

Actually I wanted to go with SubmitYourArticle.com but they have a monthly commitment of 8 articles. Now, if you intend to use their service for a long time, it's OK. But if you plan to use it only for a month or two, getting 8 articles across to various article directories in a month is bound to raise a flag in search engines. I believe it'll only do more harm than good (if you are concerned more about backlinks).

OK, now with the Phantom Writers. First of all, I never got a confirmation email that they have received my money and they are working on my article. After sending 2 consecutive emails, I received it. After a week, I again sent them a email to know the status of my submission but still haven't received any confirmation.

Vishal, what eperience do you have with automated article submissions? I am finding it awfully tedious to submit to one directory at a time. I have heard, however that many directories frown upon articles submitted via an automated system, they want them done manually. I stumbled upon a program called "Article Submitter. " It claims to be semi automatic, in that you have to do them individually but it saves your article, resoruce box, etc. and you can submit with one click of a button to each directory. What do you think?

I haven't used any automated submission programs. I have used only article submission services, Phantom Writers being the first one. Although their customer service is nothing to brag about, I'll let you know about the quality of their submission services later with regards to PR boost, if any. I intend to use SubmitYourArticle.com next.

Does this service write and submit your article or just submit an article you write? I find most people seem to prefer paying someone to write an article and submit them personally. Based on how little a 500 word article can be had for ($3-5 is common) submitting it yourself is probably cheaper.

It can do both if you want.
