Hey all,
I'm new to this board. One thing I've found that is big is that a lot of people are buying into a system. In other words, there is a product that has already been created and many look to promote that product or service.
I was wondering if there are many on this board who are creating their own info products? I've found it is easier to create and market my own products than promote another product but that is just my experience. I'm enjoying seeing what people on this board do. I never realized there were so many ideas out there.

I've created my own products - I have one active that I sell and also one that I give away to promote affiliate products. I've earned a lot more as an affiliate than I have by creating and selling a digital product, but some people are much better as merchants than affiliates, so it is going to vary by each individual.

I am in the early stages of writing an ebook, so I suppose that qualifies as creating a product. Its just part of my big picture.

I have created an ebook as a free give away to go along with other digital products that I have bought the rights to. I think some of the advantages are that you can set your price, set affiliate commissions, and control its quality.

I've created a couple of ebooks, but I use them to build my list... I'm also going to create some step-by-step videos on the basics..It seems folks forget that new people have no clue how to build a website or what ftp is or how to use it...

Creating a good product and selling it can give you a substantial income. It can even be sold years to come if it is good so it is better to make sure your product is good before you let it hit the market.
I crate ebooks with my affiliate links in them and it works great.

Yes, I believe this works because it gives you authority and there is always new people entering the market looking for informational products.

Hi Ty,
That's the first thing I did - and still do - to make money online.
I created a product for myself initially. It worked so well I sold it offline for a few months and then created a website for it. That began in 1998 and is still going strong.
All you need is supply and demand. It helps tremendously if you know the product inside and out and can say how it helped you. Sure additional testimonials can help but I haven't needed any to date.
I haven't networked or asked for backlinks but have received many good write-ups with links leading to my site. I call these "organic" backlinks as they occur naturally - without any effort on my part.
Valuable content and good products is what it's all about. Just know what your readership wants and give it to them. Don't fuss so much with the mechanical stuff. Do some, but move along quickly to spend your time creating valuable content instead.

Ive created my own products too...if you know ANYTHING of value to a decent sized group of people...use Google External Keyword Tool, (Exact match search) for the main keyword about your topic....
Anyway, you can then write an ebook, or create a video...or online course (monthly course, if you update it regularly)...people want knowledge FAST...NOW....especially if its something they are suffering about...
Solve a problem for people, and give it to em quick.
