Bummer, eh? I have a couple cousins that lost their houses in California fires.

That area is really drying out. I bet it gets worse each year.

Well, I live in the San Diego area and am in the middle of the fires. It was really scary on Monday. We received the reverse 911 call at 6 in the morning telling us to be prepared for possible evacuation. At 2:00pm that was elevated to voluntary evacuation. So I packed some stuff and waited for the mandatory evacuation. I slept in my clothes because I kept expecting the call.

Well, we made it through the night. My neighborhood really lucked out. I have friends at work that were not so lucky and lost their homes The fire is still going now. What a disaster!

I echo southbanks wishes
One of my team members is not very far away from the evacuation zone. She is praying it doesn't extend to her.She was evacuated 4 years ago to the day from previous wildfires.
888,000+people evacuated.1,200 homes and businesses destroyed and 3 people lost their lives at my last watching of fox last night. Its terrible.
A friend told me that there are arsonists and looters amok as well, hope the police come down hard.

I'm glad you're okay and I hope it stays that way.

Yes, even I saw it on the television and it looks scary. My wishes are with the less fortunate ones.

If you could only experience what they are going through, it would give you another reason to thank the almighty for whatever you have at the moment.

Lived most of my life in CA. This is bad - but what is sad is that in these fire charred areas - when rainy season hits - there will be new problems of runoff and mudslides.
