From the article:

"...Specifically, being born on Jan. 1, 1946, just a tick after midnight. That made her the first member of the 80 million-strong baby-boom generation, which, starting next year, will begin to bankrupt the nation by crashing the Medicare and Social Security systems...

No kidding. As the boomers retire, Social Security will go into the red in 2017 and become insolvent 24 years later, according to the system's trustees. Medicare, meanwhile, starts bleeding in 2013 and goes under in 2019..."

Get those income streams going

Who here is a Baby Boomer (Birthdate = '46-'64)?

Government is clearly at fault for raiding the funds that belonged to it's citizens.

I think more and more of us are looking to online business due to such articles above.
The time when you worked your job loyally, paid your taxes and then retired with your state pension are going.
Not that the pension was nearly adequate enough in the first place.
Cost of living etc is rising all the time and pensions aren't following suit.
Even those who have paid into a private pension for years are suddenly shocked to find that it is a relative pittance.
So,I for one am working my tail off online and will make my own success-I am not going to rely on the government or the socalled traditional routes-who is with me?

cybermommy,

I am with you entirely. I wish you and all of us the best of luck. We are going to need it.
