I know this is a work at home forum, but I have recieved some very good information from this site and I had another question that doesn't pertain to working at home. I would like to know if anyone has ever heard of any legitimate grants or no-interest loans for low income familys that would help me and my family add on to our home. Right now we are currently living in a two bedroom home with one bathroom. It is me, my husband, and our three girls. So, all three girls are stuck in one bedroom and it is very hard. We do own our home and know that we can get an equity loan, but we just wanted to see if anyone knows of any type of grants or no-interest loans out there. Any help we can get at the time would be very helpful to us. Thanks to any replies that are helpful!!

Hi,

I'm not sure if you could get a grant specifically for an addition. There are grants for roofing, water sealing, furnace, etc., so it may be possible.

A lot of grants are state based, I believe. You should check with your state government site or perhaps google info. on grants + your state. You may even be able to call your local community housing or something like that and they may be able to direct you to the department that handles it in your state.

Hope that helps.

You should directly apply from the government grant website , grants.gov , some paperwork may be required.

Great information pcwork, thanks for sharing the website. My husband and I were just discussing this last night and were not sure about where to start the grant application process.

I've always wondered about "free money". I always see that crazy guy with the ??? shirt...at first I thought they were brining back the old school batman and the riddler was doing promo ads...but no.

Has anyone ever buying from that guy?

What is this one? I have my doubts about anything that promises something for nothing.

For the loan and other terms I think you should contact your near bank or other financial institutions which can make your dream home a reality.

Best of luck
