Hello.
I am new to this whole working at home thing, and being my own boss.

I want to start out either working for a company, in my house. Or be my own boss.

I am having trouble accomplishing one or the other. I am not sure if I want to work for another company. Only because I wouldn't know what to choose. If I can get an idea or trend of an in demand being my own boos type of job. Please let me know.

I would also like the salary to pay a minimum of around 20k ($) or so.

Any help or tips would be great.

I am into computers. Not to good at building websites. But I built my own computer and server and stuff.

Thanks.

There are a few companies that hire customer support agents who work from home, but they pay by the hour

Derek......One piece of advice I can give you is.....do not ever give up on your dream to work from home in whatever capacity you choose. Giving up was not an option for me. I'm so glad I didn't listen to people telling me all the negative things they tried to keep me from going after my dreams. Keep a positive mindset and with determination and committment you can find your work at home job/business, etc, whatever you desire.

Good luck to you!

Thanks.
I am still searching for something to do.
Granted, I am 15, but that shouldn't stop me from doing this.
My parents support me, all I need is someone to talk to about doing this.
Kind of like a boost. Once I get started, I'll be fine.

Thanks.

Derek.

Derek,

You are way ahead of your game! If you have the opportunity to go to college, do it!

I really wish my parents were as supportive as yours. Mine wanted me to go ahead and get my GED and get a job to help support the "family". I didn't listen to them, because graduating was important to me. I got married to a wonderful man a year after I graduated, got pregnant right away, so I figured college wasn't for me. Now, I am trying to learn as much as I can in this area because I know this is where the world is heading! My children will start taking computer courses in Jr high school. I know it is important!

My cousin just graduated and in about 6 months will get $75 bucks an hour in computers while he goes to college. (his uncle got him a job, but he graduated top 5 of his class and got a scholarship to a college)

Study hard, got to college. You will find it easy to be your own boss and really make a nice living.

Hey all.
I've had some time to think about all of this. And I've decided to start studying on Web Design. I figure I can become a Freelance Web Designer with my method of teaching myself. So, I am going to start this month, of December, and see where I am at early January.

I can also finish High School in 1 - 3 years, then I can take college courses.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the late update, but I ended up establishing my own business, I even got a business license. I run a LAN Gaming/PC Repair business, it generates some nice income.

And I'm 16 now.

Thanks.
