hey mountainmom, happywife all here,
Thanks for the replies, comments and support, well while i've been learning bit by bit the elementary lessons about internet marketing, I've been building my downline 'old school' way off line I have 36 sign ups with another 6 or 7 good prospects in the wings and product dosn't launch till March 15th.
Thanks for the tips on the social networking sights Mountainmom, there is a ton of those so I'm doing them one at a time so I will eventually get with all of those in the next month or so, I am in the planning stages to make a little video for you tube I will send you a link when it is up then you will able to see the real me, that is quite an exciting project.
Angie, Ive been studying the keyword thing and am in the 2nd stage of building my own website, it is a little tough going but I will get there in the end, I did start a blog although I havn't had any hits I suspect thats because I am not driving traffic to it yet properly however, I did work out how to make links clickable (after many many frustrating attempts) with the help of a guy called Freecashman on another thread

Just a note to other newbies: If at first you don't succeed, try again and again and again... DO NOT GIVE UP, DO NOT QUIT, because when you finally do do the things that are considered basic computer stuff to many but horrifyingly alien to us..well, the feeling of accomplishment from executing these things nothing short of (for me anyway) total "I did it, I actually did it " and you just sit back in your chair infront of the screen staring with a big cheese eating grin of your face. Tip RULE #1 write down what you do as you do it, I did one task, jumped up and down with joy, only to realise that I couldn't remember how I'd done it, like cooking a new dish and not writing down all the ingredients and amount of spice etc that you used.

Anyway think I've rambled on enough as I am half an hour past my bed time and have't had me milk and cookies yet, still working on the time management thing...anyway I now have as of today 2 clickable links so check them out and i will be adding more text to my blog tommorrow (funny.. 4 or 5 weeks ago I had no idea what the word Blog meant)

Good night to all.. sleep tight, you guys are awesome
regards Anthony

Hi Anthony,

It's lovely to hear your enthusiasm. I'm glad you are making progress. I went and had a look at your blog, so you should have at least 1 hit now.

I also looked at your WOW site. Hopefully in future they will be providing more information about the actual products they will be offering - specifically the ingredients and prices, etc.

There are so many different angles on promoting those types of products if they are as they claim. The health benefits are one side of the coin and the environmental benefits are another. I'm sure there are probably more.

For instance, if you had a site about skin conditions, it would tie in nicely with non toxic cleaning products. A great many people suffer from rashes, dry skin, etc., as a result of the chemicals in various household products.

That's just one tiny little angle, but you could build a whole business around the subject if you were so inclined.

Keep up the good work.
Blessings,
Angie

Hi everyone
I've read through this thread with great interest, being a nob myself to online marketing.

Well donee Anthony, you are a teatament to what can be achieve when putting into practise what you learn

I put adsense on my beauty site (link in my signature) on recommendation of Mountainmom but since then there has been a http404 error whenever I try to click on it and I don't know why? I double checked everything Google told me when setting it up so I'm stumped.

Wasn't sure if this was the right forum to post this in so if I am in the wrong place, I apologise.

xx

Where do you have your site hosted? Have you talked to their "support" about the problem you are having? (I'm getting the 404 error from you link, too).

You may have accidentally through some faulty code in there somewhere, but it may also be completely unrelated to what you did. Sometimes that happens. You would be benefited most by approaching customer support, I think, to see if they can help you discover the problem.

I hope you get it sorted out.
Blessing,
Angie

We talk mostly about work at home stuff, but we have also chatted about other things from time to time.

Hi Happywife, I'm with Godaddy, I will contact their support, thanks (I never thought about that, doh!). It's been 3 days now!

Hi everyone I posted to a thread titled "New to the forum.." (I think, I can't quite remember!) a second ago because I just joined this forum about half an hour ago. But I thought I'd post to this one as well.
