So I just found this great way to recycle used electronics easily and FOR FREE and help out our local children's hosptial at the same time.
Here's the deal. You simply go online and tell them what you have (for instance, using drop down menus, I indicated I had an LG Cingular phone, model CG 225).
They then provided me with a printable pre-paid shipping label (they pay for shipping, not me), I printed it up, dropped the phone in an envelope and shipped it off. They will take care of cleaning it off, recycling dead batteries if needed, and then donate the value of the phone back to the hospital.
All totally free for me while helping out.
Here's a link if you need to get rid of some electronics. Looks like the accept cell phones, mp3s, CPUs, laptops, conputer monitors and flat screen (plasma or LCD) TVs.
