Hello, I am new to Coastal Vacations and I am looking for a long distance provider like the one that is mentioned in our back page (wcys) that would work well with satellite access. Actually, any long distance provider will do. I now pay 7 cents per minute. Any suggestions?

I have downloaded skype to my computer. It is free to download and it costs about $30.00 a year to use. It is free to call someone skype to skype.
Outgoing calls to normal phones aren't always a clear connection. If you have broadband service, I would recommend a voip provider. You can go to: http://www.voipreview.org/ to research which provider would work best for you.

Hope this helps.

HI Evelyn!!
Great to see you on the forum. Susan and I talk on Skype quite often. She is the one I told you about that we talk skype to skype and it sounds as clear as if we were standing in front of eachother. I know you said Skype didn't work for you so I bet the site Susan mentioned above will help you. The link probably won't be there very long becasuse this forum doesn't allow links except for in your signature so write it down so you don't forget it. It's GREAT to have you in the family, Evelyn!! Susan is a "sister" of yours, so to speak, because she is one of my personal signups.

I suggest if you'll be making lots of calls you go for a flat rate North American plan so you don't have to worry about the minutes....it should have been said earlier Iksregel, welcome to Coastal!

Thanks Susan & Roger. I will check out the site. I'm very happy to be a part of the Coastal family and especially WCYS and hsimpsonjr's group. Thank you hsimpsonjr for being on this forum. Your informative posts and willingness to help everyone involved with Coastal made it an easy choice to join.
