I think the referral bonus I would give someone would depend on how much work I had to do to make the sale. If the referral knew right away they wanted the package and I was making 9705, I would most likely give at least 3 grand to my friend plus any vacations that they wanted from my Level 3 package.
I am still working towards my Level 3 but since I loved the one cruise I went on I definitely want to get up there so that I can get those 2 for 1 cruises.

Hey folks - great info - thanks.

If I was to get serious about belly button marketing - I think it would be imperative to have my "kickback" or referral amount as a defined amount eh?

Would hate to think what would happen if one got the chance to ask another what I paid them for their help.

Someone mentioned a % of the profit - Rhonda? That makes sense - it is not like what we make is hidden eh? It is plastered all over the net!

But it appears from the answers that no one is really marketing in this fashion as it appears this has taken all by a bit of surprise??? Else wise I would assume this answer to the question of "normal" referral amounts would have more discussion?

It appears everyone is taking the question as a philosophical question to answer in case it ever happens - which I am guessing does not happen?

Which makes me question the validity of the idea of belly button marketing - hoping to get referrals etc. Seriously - is anyone that any of you know doing this?

I think belly to belly marketing is being done within Coastal and quite well it's just that most on this forum it appears are not doing much with belly to belly marketing.

Would that be correct?

I think belly to belly marketing is very doable and asking for referrals and paying a referral "fee" is a good thing.

Rhonda - thanks so much - a really appreciate your help - but I'd like to hear something other than theory - if you know what I mean.

I would like to hear from someone and see "hard" numbers over a given period of time.

Possible?

Thanks

Bob

I was thinking that many of these travelers could stretch their legs at Coastal Condos for 1-2-3 months per year @ 1100-1500 per month - it would sure be cheaper than keeping a real home for this purpose eh?

I haven't used my package a whole lot yet, but I heard Stephanie Johnson from the BOD share on one of her recent product training calls , how she has booked condos back to back for a month - using the Access card and booking 'burn weeks' condos..for anywhere from $295 - $355 a week...

Question for you all if I was your friend and didnt want to do Coastal as a business and I referred someone to you that bought a Level III package would you compensate me in any way for the $9705 I just made you?

I am wondering if the reason there isn't more of a referral market is the fact that most people will want to get started in the business themselves and make those commissions - rather than a mere percentage!

But I am interested in hearing more about this,too....

Good questions - Thanks for asking!I am learning , too...

Okay here is what I PERSONALLY offer anyone who gives me a REFERRAL who becomes a SALE
HALF OF THE COMMISSION!

And that goes for Coastal or any of my businesses.

BUT for the referral alone I would give them a vacation voucher.

we have refered lots of people who call us to coastal directors who then help them get started in the business and it feels good to be part of such a special organization

Hmmm I never received any of those "referrals" Rusty...

Well as not alot of people are using the method ill share what I do. I offer $100 for a level one referral, $500 for a premier and $1000 for a platinum. Now I always tell them that as a director what the commissions are so they can see how lucrative Coastal is and I also keep track of their referrals and allow them to be training sales if they in turn join the business. We all talk about innovative ways to get people started with no money and I see this as a good way. It also brings be sales from sources I might not have gotten myself.

Commission only sales has always been something ive been involved with and having my own sales force is a good thing. I think in this business many of us forget to think outside of the box from time to time. In this scenario everyone wins. I used manage a few music groups and referral fees are a big part of that business. I just took it into my Coastal business and let it work for me.

Hope this inspires more ideas and thoughts from you all.

Hey guys,

Is there any place where we can get testimonies on using the package for incentives - we want to do some b2b and the only testimonies I can find on that are on the coastalincentives dot com - and most of those are like for raffles or fundraisers,etc....

Thanks,
Viola

Yes, the best way to do this is by working your local market. You want to work with businesses the people know and have heard of. Margie's Car Wash in Boston won't do you much good.

You can get with some business owners in your area that you know and buy from. Give them some vacations and let them use them to build a succes factor, then in return as them for a testimonial.

Viola, You can go to www.coastalproof.com for actual receipts and testimonies too! I am finding that having testimonies is key to making sales in certain instances.
Hope this helps!

Does anyone have any trainings in their arsenals about retailing the product? Id love to see what is available. It doesnt have to necessarily be about Coastal either. I think retailing is retailing just as I think if you can sell one thing you can sell anything. If anyone has anything id love to see what is out there.

Thanks in advance.
