Hi Janelle!
In a nutshell, there are several ways to run a Coastal Vacations business. Most of us on this forum are focusing on business building- so we bring to market lifetime wholesale travel memberships, and then train the owners of those memberships to run their own businesses.
We get to travel, have a whole lot of fun and full time in Coastal is considered about 20 hours a week!
I work about that, started in september and make a 5 figure income!
LOVE IT!
Have fun learning about it!
Cheers

Hi Janelle, Coastal is the literally an answer to prayer for me. I have been able to generate more money in the first quater of this year than in 3 qtrs with my regular job and because of my team, the WeCloseYourSales Call center, I can still work my fulltime job and make sales because they are making the sales for me. I just worry about advertising and training my new members. It's amazing! You will be so happy if you choose to join Coastal but make sure an get a director that you can identify with and that will be a good match for you. That is VERY important.

Quoting: janelle What exactly is the work, and what do you feel are the pros and cons of the business?
Hi Janelle,
To directly answer your question, when you start out, it is like this. You will get a personalized website that is 49.95 per month. This is the call center website. You will just advertise your website. Our back office has hours upon hours of training. You really need to devote yourself to familiarizing yourself with the system and the packages. It is all there for you. Then use the proven techniqes to generate opt ins for your business.
Of course, as you build your business, you will definately branch out in to training your team and many different forms of advertising and marketing, but one step at a time.
The pros: The call center is a very attractive option for those just starting out. We can use all the help we can get in the beginning! The call center will take your calls, follow up, send out packages, take payment. That is a tremendous help. You will see all of the notes about the progress of your prospects. There are countless stories of sales made when you never even speak with the person before they join. Don't get me wrong, you will be speaking to poeple, but you will find that they call you! Even if you choose to buy leads, you can buy coastal specific leads so they are already familiar with the business and interested. So far, I have not felt that "rejection" that comes with straight cold calling. What a drag that would be!
The Travel - this speaks for itself! I will not rehash the packages. Carefully look them over. It is no joke what you save. This is lifetime memberships I am talking about.
The People - I have "met" some really nice people who work this business. I hope to meet them in person at the seminar in September.
The cons: I have really been trying to come up with a constructive thing to say that is considered a downside to the business, but I cannot think of the downside. The product is great, the business model is great and the commissions are great. I know it sounds crazy, but I guess I drank the Kool-aid. Seriously, that is why I joined. I TRIED to find something wrong with it. I kept thinking "what's the catch?" There is none!

Hi Janelle!
They are different marketing approch with different marketing groups to conduct coastal business. Best thing is check most of them, compare training and monthly cost, etc. Most important that you feel comftable with your Director/sponsor to this business. This will have a major effect on your success. My group CB-United's motto: Marketing, Lead Production, Support, Integrity and long term Cost. WE provide all the tools, and we DON'T need to charge a DIME extra for it, because Our success is based upon YOUR success. Good luck to you, Cheers

Hi Janelle
it depends again which way you want to approach your business, I teach online promotion, so eventually you will not need to pay for your leads. If you google - coastal vacations, I am in the organic #5 spot, which costs me nothing to be there and has made me thousands this week.
That is the long term plan. In the short term, the website system we use costs $29.95/mo, we have surveyed leads for 4c each (normally they cost over $1 but we have a special arrangement) and I have access to databases that I share which cost nothing at all, so you can defintely build your business on small budget.
The support, training and tools are really important, otherwise you will go broke and bald trying to make money.
hope this helps maria

Hi Janelle,
The wonderful thing about Coastal Vacations are the choices it gives you to run your business in the way that is best for you. That and the $1,000-$9,000 commissions, of course!
As Coastal Directors, we offer a lifetime travel package that will give you unlimited options for vacationing and traveling at great discounts. This is the first benefit of Coastal. You can use the package yourself as a member, or sell it retail to other people, businesses and charities for the wonderful value it offers.
You can also promote the opportunity itself in the many ways that the other Directors have mentioned: via a website, by advertising in classifieds, buying leads, holding seminars, etc.
And, if you are not interested in selling, you can opt to join a Closing Center where professional sales people will call people on your behalf to make the sale for you.
As to the cons, I can think of only one: the package itself is so comprehensive that it takes time to fully understand it and learn how to use all the benefits.
Then again, that's not really such a bad thing, is it?
