Well, you are in the right place to get access to all kinds of things that people do from home...

Most of us have what we do in our signature lines - some are into affiliate marketing, others do freelance work...still others, like myself, have our own home businesses...so take some time to research the links and websites and don't be afraid to ask questions on things you see that interest you as that is one of the quickest ways to learn how this all works...

Hope things get better for you soon - but it sounds like you HAVE to find something that works for you,eh?

Let that necessity cause you to be a smart researcher - not a gullible sucker...

Yes there is alot to look at here but well worth the time investment.

Look at other members signatures below and if you see something that you feel will work for you, get intouch with that member via the private message and ask them questions or set up a phone call.

I know it seems you are in a bit of a time crunch, but above all else take the time neccessary to do your own homework before getting involved with any home based business.

Good luck

Cheers,

John

it seems like scams.... all of it... looks like the same as all the scamming websites. My mom & I are going to start a soap buisness as well.
But, we both need income. As my daughters father hasnt gotten a job, he uses the excuse "theres no jobs right now"....so i'm just gonna worry about me and my daughter because really her fathers not in the picture much anymore. You'd think ANY man that's a father would step up
as we women do even if we are young... shame on men like him.
gives a bad name to every other non jerk out there......
but thanks for all your help, I need to do something
,Lisa

If you're willing and able to spend some serious time and dedication to working online, it might be perfect for you.

Some free options are blogging, building a lens on Squidoo or setting up a website.

(the best host I've found is Office Live--I've got a site set up through them, it's free for a year with no commitment. If it doesn't work out for some reason on the 29th day of the 11th month, I can cancel with no charges.)

I hope this at least gives you some ideas to start from!

Lisa,

Just a word of advice.

You need to get your head in the right place before you start anything online. I can only imagine your frustration with your personal life. I sense a lot of negativity in your approach to looking for something to "fix" your current situation, which might lead you to make a bad decision by rushing into something.

Most programs online whether they big be ticket or small-free opportunities take time to start earning you income. It sounds like there is a more immediate need with cashflow.

I am not trying to discourage your entrepreneurial spirit in any way and you should continue looking for the right business/program. Just make sure whatever program/business your start you can dedicate 100% effort on your part.

I work in the home-based, online travel business. I like the travel industry because it is a $7 Trillion Industry and there are no tangible products for me to buy and sell. I simply point people to my site just like Expedia, Orbitz, and Travelocity. I also specialize in booking group cruises. Cruises pay out the highest commissions to travel agents and I can go on the cruise for free.

If you like to travel or know people who like to travel, check out my link for more information.

Lisa, first off I will say a prayer for you and your daughter, my wife was abandoned by her father when she was young and it was hard for her to forgive. With prayer, she eventually patched things up and now has a new appreciation for things in her fathers life. It basically filled a void she had for many years. If your looking to make money from home online, your taking a step in the right direction. I know to many people these days that have been let go, or the company has gone out of business and they are left with nothing. Taking initiative to create your own financial independence is the best thing you could do. There are a lot of businesses out there and it can be overwhelming at times. You have to do your due diligence and make sure that before you join with anyone, you talk to them several times. Go with your heart in what you feel is right for you and your daughter. But remember, nothing will change unless you do, so do your research, but don't make it a lifelong journey and you run out of time to create your independence financially. If you ever have any questions, feel free to contact me, I'm here to help. Take care and God Bless

Hey your in the right place to find something that will work for you.

I am blessed to work from home full time.

So you definitly want to do that if at all possible.

I am loving it & I am supporting my wife & 5 kids on my work from home business.

Make sure when you are looking around you look for good support, that is a vital part of this business.

God Bless

Hi Lisa. Mountainmom above posts yet another winner. She's right on the money with her advice and you'll find that there are dozens, if not hundreds, of other people here that you can learn from. My only advice would be to do your homework and not jump into anything until you've done your research. There are thousands of scams out there so beware and good luck!

Dan

I only do the free things right now. There are plenty of options, which you can read about in my blog (link in signature)...but my advice is to not pay for anything just yet. There are lots of free opportunities out there. They probably won't get you rich, but they will allow you to build up a nice amount of savings which you can then invest in a more lucrative home based business.

Speaking as a non-jerk... I'm of the opinion that a man who won't be a father isn't really a man. I married a woman with two children who now call me "Dad" because of that sad state of affairs.

And I have a bit of advice that may clash with some, but it has worked for me. My wife and I have run a Home-based Child Daycare for years, now - and while it hasn't made us rich (in fact I'm here looking for a second income, myself) it has paid the bills and kept us off the streets.

I suggest that, along with looking online, you also seek out something you can do for your physical locality. My brother makes $300 or more every time he and his wife host a yard sale. I have also made some extra money designing business cards and other custom documents for local people.

If you love children and can physically handle it, you might even consider a home-care business. In Texas, one person can care for up to 12 children depending on their ages. And depending on how people pay, that can work into a very stable income.

All I'm saying is, don't lock yourself into online opportunities. If you see a need you can fill, go for it!

Blessings,
Gene.

Soap biz sounds like a good idea. green biz is big right now. Just do your homework and have a plan on how you are going to market your new product. Are you also working a job or are you just going to be working your business? Good luck.

Hi Lisa,

genebx:
I suggest that, along with looking online, you also seek out something you can do for your physical locality. My brother makes $300 or more every time he and his wife host a yard sale. I have also made some extra money designing business cards and other custom documents for local people.

This is the best advise in this thread so far. Do something local, something that works with your circumstances. No car? Walk or get a bicycle or catch a ride with somebody.

Once you start contributing to the household in some financial way things will start to come together for you. You will make friends, connections and build a reputation as a reliable worker.

My son at 15 was pushing a mower around the neighborhood doing any odd jobs he could find and making $800 to $1200 a month.

Now here is the good part... keep looking into internet marketing. I think you should find an affiliate program that you find interesting.

After you pick something register a domain that is compatible with what you will be promoting. By this I mean the products name should be included in your domain name.

If you were promoting BarbieDolls.com you could register your own way cool domain like HotBarbieDolls.com or GetBarbieDolls.com.

Have your domain registrar forward your cool domain to your merchant's sales page (BarbieDolls.com) using your affiliate link. This is sorta of like forwarding your mail when you move to a new house.

Now any one who types in HotBarbieDolls.com (your domain) will be automatically forwarded to BarbieDolls.com, your merchant's web site. If they purchase you will receive your commission.

The above is the basic idea of one cool way to direct market so you will not have to build a web page or pay to host it.

You will just have to concentrate on generating traffic to your domain by various means. There are many free methods that work well and you will need to do some lurking around the net on sites like this to get ideas.

Article marketing, free classified, forum posting, offline marketing are some of the free methods to look into.

I guess I had better stop before I write a book!

Later,
Bob
