It depends on your skills, interests and where you stay. If you do something related /relevant it will do well. Study the market demand first.

Going through people's signatures will definitely give you enough to check out, there's alot of good stuff out there. Check in the folders that have specific programs and then research them and find out if that's something you'd be interested in. You can make good money working 4 hrs per day. It's going to take effort and dedication, but if you can put in the hours, you can get into profit mode rather quickly.
Good luck!

-Find an niche and do some keyword research. -Register a keyword-rich domain name. -Create and monitize a content site. -Promote the site. -Once you have a profitable site, create more sites and products within that profitable niche, promoting them all. -Soon the profits will come residually and you can repeat the whole process with a new profitable niche, adding to your residual income.
To your success,
Michael

I'd just like to add the word "know to Newbie Shield's advice, i.e. "Do what you know and love..."
I love to travel, but I don't have enough knowledge of how to sell travel to try to monetize.

Hello Kalien,
Quoting: kalien I love to travel, but I don't have enough knowledge of how to sell travel to try to monetize.
We don't had either back in March when we started w/Coastal. But we were lucky to get in to a group where we just plugged in to the system and bam...Level 1 in less then 3 weeks, level 2 Director less then 6 weeks...Since then we make 1-3 sales per month. And We just doing it in part time. Travel is so big this days, just hard to ignored it. With our group you don't have to sell unless you wanted to. No cold calls-- never. Our prospects calling us.
I see your sig line, just a quick note that we learned it very fast, must have to have your OWN domain! Those affiliate links are not recognized seo, and getting high up in them, getting free traffic is a must this days. Good luck to you,
lm

This is very true online. You may have the best niche, but if demand is less, you will not make much money.

viraj86 ,
We will all have different answers and recommendations, because we do different types of online business. Essentially, though, I think most of us would agree that you should pick something you enjoy.
My "type" of business is affiliate marketing with content rich niche websites.
I don't necessarily think you have to already know it as much as you have to want to learn it. If you look at my first two sites below, the first I know and love - chocolate, the second I didn't know (other than the basics) and hate - insurance.
Sounds crazy, but I have had a great time building both of them. I had a desire to learn and know more on these subjects. Of course, I ultimately am building them so I can make money, not have fun, but it's nice if you can have fun, too.
The site in your signature is a start, but that is probably one of the hardest niche's to really break into and do well with. In my opinion (for what it is worth) a person wanting to make a considerable income in that niche is going to have to build hundreds and hundreds of pages of quality content to have a glimmer of a chance of playing with the big boys.
May I suggest you consider other interests or hobbies you may have? It could be something related to your "regular" job or completely different.
Picking something that really appeals to you and then check out the possible niches you could build a site around. An online business takes a good bit of time and effort to get off the ground, but you can certainly do it with 4 hours a day, especially if you pick the right niche subject.
Best of luck.

A newbie to the Network Marketing Industry? Congratulations for taking action and working toward fulfilling your dreams. I highly recommend finding a mentor who has gone through the trenches and can mentor you to the top. Be sure you have your goal statement and dates in front of you and read them daily!! Make a construction zone on your wall with pictures of what you want to achieve and dates to when you want to achieve your goals. Hang out with positive people.

Thanks Im,
Yes, the research never stops! However I've found I quite enjoy it. Surprise, surprise.
I will admit, though, that it takes a bit of an effort sometimes to come up with a different way of saying basically the same thing.
There are only so many adjectives to describe chocolate, eh? After a couple hundred pages I start feeling like, "If I say delicious or scrumptious one more time..."
And then there is the insurance site... one of the secrets of building a high ranking site is to take advantage of "long tail keywords." By that I mean phrases like, cheap car insurance cheaper car insurance cheapest car insurance cheapest online car insurance car insurance quote online cheap...
You get the idea? Can you imagine how funny it is to try to write a decent page of content for hundreds of phrases like this? Ugh! Sometimes I think, "Didn't I just say that?" "Didn't I just say that?"
I guess the challenge is part of the fun.
All the best.

Im
Squidoo is a good option, but I don't know for sure if you will go far with it. I have a couple of lenses myself that I use to have extra backlinks to my chocolate site.
To get more traffic to your lens and help in rise in popularity, etc., you need to add content regularly. Add an additional write module every day or so.
Also, use the actual squidoo address in a signature file in your posts in the forums like this one. Just go into your profile and put the actual address in your signature. That will give you more links to your lens and also may get a few curious visits from forums.
Finally, if you look in your "dashboard" on squidoo they will give you a list of recommendations on how to generate more traffic to your lens. Those are worth trying.
I checked out your lens. It is a good start, but it appears you really only have one module set up so far. As I said, continue to add regularly. The other thing I was curious about was the links in your text. It took me to a wordpress blog. Is that your blog? I couldn't really see how you are trying to monetize other than perhaps the Google Ads. Do you have an affiliate program you promote or anything? I guess I was having difficulty finding your aim or hoped for end result. Just curious.
By the way, the PR4 that we are getting on our lens and alexa ranking is, I suspect, Squidoo's stats, not our specific lens stats.
Hope that helps.

Whah, thanks.
Yes that wp site is ours also, did very, very good with adsense. We had the No#1 spot for 3 weeks. I think it's time to revamp the wp site also.
I'm planning to ad more articles and modules, you right, need more writing. It will help. I tought that we will have same success with it as with the original site. PR ranking is there but no 'cigar'. PR rank is I think is "real" since I have other lenses also with PR2 and PR3's. Thanks,
lm

I mentioned in another thread that I tend to favor affiliate marketing as the best work from home opportunity. But to get it to work, you need to become good at PPC advertising. So take some sort of Adwords course (some of them are free) so that you don't lose too much money to Google.
