1. Read the forum rules BEFORE you post, or all the information about your new and exciting business opportunity will be for nothing. (my bad)
2. Free e-mail list from the web may not be that good, so before you set up till 1am and send 2,367 e-mails, only to find two thirds of them coming back to you, make sure you have a good list.
3. Read the terms and rules of the "new and exciting business opportunity" before you sent 2,367 e-mails (I guess it's spamming . That will save you the uncomfortable phone call from the owner of said new and exciting business. ( I e-mailed him and told him about my great marketing idea)
4. MAKE SURE your e-mails are not being sent to your Blackberry, or you will have to delete around 1,500 rejected e-mails from your phone
This week has been a bust, I think I'll just call it a week and start again Monday.

The learning or road bumps on the way to success.
At least you've decided to get on the road. Know that your destination - a profitable business, can be reach. Very often the sign that we are on the right road is seen by the challenges we encounter to hinder one from reaching said destination.
Stay the course, and get back to work asap, lol

Very useful. The 3-4 weeks were the worst for me because i didn't have profit coming in, and i fell for the "get rich quick" schemes.
Something i have picked up lately and has kept me going is this motto:
"Visualize success, Want it as much as you want to breathe, and in time success will come to you."

You learned a lot in a week! As long as you keep getting back up you will be fine.
Count it a stepping stone, a bump in the road.. and if you get knocked off the wagon, just climb back on... many others never learn how to 'ride the wagon' cause they are too afraid to get on it in the first place.

I think as newbies we always try to reinvent the wheel!! We think our ideas work better. You have to be coachable and do what you have learned. It does take time to learn and do and progress. All of us absorb at a different rate. So realize there are proven ways to do things and do them first once you have some success then you can experiment with "your ideas"

Thanks for all the support , I've been in sales for 25 years, and this online stuff can be very humbling. I'm ready to go again, and haven't been this excited about work since the late 90s or early 00s. That's the last time it was really good in my industry. Commissioned sales is great, except for the fact that when times are slow you don't get laid off and get to draw unemployment, you get to keep on working for next to nothing.

That's a great attitude. That is what it takes. With a learning curve you will have failures but the objective is to never quit, ever, and you can make it.

Good post. I definitely didn't do those things before i started posting. Another good one to add is to make sure you actually help out people in forums instead of just "nice post".

That is a great attitude, and you are right you have to keep going when you are in sales, no matter what! Very good point you made about not being able to claim unemployment. I myself am also very new to network marketing, and I have not been in sales as long as you have, but I did get in the mortgage business in late 2006, shortly before the "CRASH" as I like to call it, in the housing / mortgage industry, and I have stuck with it!
"WHat does not kill you only makes you stronger" So again keep up the good work and great attitude, because it will for sure take you a long way!!!
