Do you have to have a web site to promote a product from Clickbank? How does it work? I thought it was just an Ad I make and people click on it, then it goes to the web site of the product you are promoting. As you can tell, I am new at this and need lots of info.....please !

You have the right idea. You don't have to have a website. You can place ads with links to the product page as you described.

That said, you can use a website to promote the products, too. Basically, you would be "preselling" so that people would click through to the sales page.

Those are just a couple of the options. Whatever works for y ou.

Thanks Happywife. So how do I go about placing ads with the links to the product page? I bought AVJ and there is lots of good info in the package...but obviously not enough for a newbie.

Well, it's been awhile since I used Clickbank products to place ads (they were never fruitful for me), so I need to think.

First decide which products you want to promote. You'll see a little link that says "create hoplink" (if I remember correctly), click on that and it will bring up a little box where you put in your clickbank ID name and then it will create the referral link for you.

You can use the link just as it is, or you can hide it by using link cloaking (I think they have instructions at CB on how to do that) or get a domain name and create subdomains for each product you want to promote. Then you just redirect that subdomain to your referral link.

If you are a "newbie" as you said, you may just want to stick with the basic link provided to get started. It's really easy to create a subdomain and use redirects (that's what I do) and it is probably easy to do link cloaking, but I haven't tried that out. So if you prefer to try that, go for it.

After you have decided on how you are going to link, then you just go and place your ads. You can use free advertising, like USfreeads or Craigslist or a whole range of others. Just do a Google search for free classifieds.

I wouldn't advise you to do PPC like Google Adwords unless you do some thorough research and get a good understanding of it first. Many people lose money that way because they don't know the best way to do it.

Hope that helps you get started.

I don't believe any of these products have ever helped a newbie. Far from it, these products simply appeal to a newbie's greed, that's all. In other words, revenue is being generated from the false hopes about home business, rather than from home business itself.

I certainly don't think so...I am an affilitte for Clickbank. I became one after buying a few of they're products and putting them into action. This is now my main source of income! Yes, it took a few months to get it right, but after I did, the money started flowing, and I had a new job!!!

I should also mention that I did not have a clue what Clickbank was untill I bought some of those affiliate e-books and courses.

A lot of garbage Clickbank products yes. But some are decent. The best way to find out is to purchase the product yourself - which is difficult to do if you don't have a lot of cash to throw around. The next best way it to google the product and do some research. If people on associated forums like it, it's probably a good deal. That being said - many people will pay more for an ebook than an actual book because they can get it instantly.

Anybody who says that all the products on ClickBank are garbage couldn't possibly know that. There are thousands of products on ClickBank. If you say they are all trash does that mean that you have evaluated all of them thereby making you qualified to say that they are all trash?

There are good products on ClickBank. It's just like anything else - you have to be selective. If you have a tendency to be more ethical then you will be more selective. If you just want to make money quick and you don't care about the customer, then you'll be open to the snake oil.

First of all, let's be clear about this.. Anyone who advertise about making money or how easy it is to make money are scams. And even if they tell you that they earned thousands through clickbank, then are lying to you to try to trick you into buying their programs. Furthermore, Clickbank is a ripoff. How are you going to get paid and who is going to pay you when you promote their products? Clickbank? If it was true, then how do Clickbank gets the money to pay you? See, a bunch of individuals can post a bunch of junks on clickbank for you to promote and not get paid at all.

To make money through affiliate marketing which is always possible, you have to find a company and fill out a forms which will always ask you for W9 forms or SSN if they pay you a commissions when someone buy products you promote on your websites. An example would be BestBuy or Dishnetwork and any companies that accept applications. If you're accepted, you will then start making money. See, it's between you and the company, not between you and Clickbank.

I definitely don't think all CB products are worthless. However, you really have to look deep in the marketplace to find good ones.

Just because a product has a very high gravity does not necessarily mean that it's a great product. It just means that the vendor did a lot of JV's and started a lot of buzz about the product.

I look at a lot of these sales pages and I have to laugh. The claims made on some of them are borderline criminal IMO. Especially those "push button miracle" softwares.

While those softwares may indeed perform a helpful function, they are never soleley responsible for "pulling in $17,985.98 in just 5 clicks per day", etc.

I have a budding list of almost 5,000. and you'd be surprised how many of my subscribers send me messages thanking me for not being like "most other marketers" and promoting those hyped up products.

Before I promote a product to my list, I actually purchase it and test it out. then I create a video review showing my subscribers that I do indeed own the product, and like it very much.

Works like a charm. I have a very low unsubscribe rate.

I am a newcomer to affiliate marketing and certainly no expert but in my opinion clickbank is like any other market place: some products will be good and others bad; some popular some not.

Why would you promote a product that you don't know anything about anyway?

If you want to be a successful affiliate and run your business ethically then you need to do your due diligence first. That goes for clickbank or anything else...
