HOW TO OVERCOME THE FEAR OF A HOME BUSINESS:
1. You are a product of your environment. Surround yourself with positive people. If you don't have any positive people around you, hang around this forum, it is a welcoming and positive place.
2. Doubt - Don't Open the Door to Doubt. Read good books. The Millionarie Mind, anything by Robert Kiyosaki is very encouraging.
3. Commitment. This is a big part. Are you committed. Do you have a very strong reason "WHY"?
4. No action leads to fear, step up to ACTION. Just Do It!
5. Listen to things that inspire. There are a lot of training calls on-line that are free to listen to. I like to listen to Dani Johnson.
6. Practice, Practice, Practice. It takes practice to be able to talk to people about your business, to sponsor others and the only way to overcome this fear is to practice, practice, practice.
7. Decision to NEVER QUIT!! EVER!!!
8. Sign up and treat it like a "real business", not a hobby.

The one other thing I'd add to the list is to find something you enjoy - if you hate what you need to do to make a profit, pick a different business that you will enjoy.

It also helps to expect that things wouldn't always go as planned. They never do. There will be disappointments as well surprises; but if you have the right attitude, the experience can be a wonderful, lucrative adventure.

Hi Becky,
Thanks for your list. Everything you mentioned are true.
I used to procrastinate too but today I'm different because I understand the theory of your step 4. The more action I take, the more power I gain and eventually I have courage to work on myself rather than procrastinate.

If scam is the cause, then do your own diligent. Once decided on the business, stay with it, put your effort in it. Results will come.

Some good stuff.
You have to ultimately have a lot of self-worth. You need to love and respect yourself. You need to know that you are worthy of everything that you could ever dream of. If you weren't worthy of something then it simply wouldn't come into your experience.
The fact that you become aware of something (even as a day dream) means that you are worthy to experience it in all its glory. Just go out and get it one step at a time.

Hello Becky, Thanks for your post. I agree with you. At first I was hesitant also to start home business and I was even been scammed but I learned my lessons from that so the more I am more cautious. Soon I find a real home business that was really meant for me, my advice to anybody who wanted to start a home business is once you find the right business stay focus and you will be on your way to success.

Hay Becky, I'm new to this forum. Thank you for the list. It is very infomative. I recently started a home base business and I ran into almost everything you listed. I had skeptics all around me, I doubted myself (THIS IS THE BIGGY). Self doubt is a real opportunity killer. Hermas is right, though. While there are disappointments there are also pleasant surprises. It can be fun and lucrative. Be honest, worj hard and DO NOT DOUBT YOURSELF.. Thanks everybody for all your input. Have a great day!!

Some Excellent advice I got recently, and with the NEW YEAR coming soon......
Get a good calendar and protect your actual money generating activity time. THAT TIME CAN NEVER BE GOTTEN BACK...IT'S PRECIOUS... SO DON'T WASTE IT!
Create a "TO DO LIST" each day and put your money generating activities at the top of the list...do those things first...then go do your site networking.
Do $10/hour activities(blogging) during $10/hour time...Do $100/hr. activities in PRIME $100/hr. times!! You can blog and post anytime...use your best times to do those money generating activities!

working from home making money online is a great way to earn a living but finding that genuine website business takes time and effort. you MUST, MUST, MUST check out the company or person thoroughly and you must be able to meet in person at their offices so as to see first hand that they are genuine
