Hi Friends, since this is general advice section and many of you should be webmasters, i need an advice. Can you please suggest an adsense alternative which I can use instead or in parallel of adsense? Actually i have many visitors and page views but i have a very low ctr. What do you suggest. Thanks in advance

Hi Genius,

Welcome to the forum.

Microsoft and YAHOO! have similar ads.

Try changing the layout instead. You'll be surprised how some minor tweaks can significantly improve CTR.

Although I haven't used Yahoo! and MSN ads, I believe nothing can match AdSense.

Thanks for suggestions, Microsoft and Yahoo doesn't provide ads for my region. However Vishal's advice is worth trying, although i have already tried many tweaks, i will give it another chance. Despite of this, i have seen many websites using popups and popunders, i know they put a bad affect on visitors, but they do pop on every visitors, doesn't that mean the people who put pop ads earn a lot? have any one of you tried that earlier?

Hi Genius,

Pop ups are bad form. They annoy visitors. I wouldn't use them.

I'm glad and you really should. FYI, I did one recent tweak to this forum and it jumped the CTR by over 100% for one of the units.

Try what I consider to be a few of the BEST free online instructional blogs on the net. http://makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com/, http://courtneytuttle.com/, and Court's new site, http://thekeywordacademy.com/. If you are really adventurous and don't mind some very salty language, Vic's http://bloggerunleashed.com/ is top notch. Vic has a no holds barred persona and blasts most of the current "make money online" gurus like John Chow and ProBlogger.

Ha ha Billy I see you know of Griz, Vic and Court I read their blogs often especially Griz's. These guys do know their stuff and are no fluff get to the point in your face types especially Vic, who sometimes scares people. His language is a little hard on the ears, but his heart is in the right place.

Other ad networks I've personally used are:

http://www.text-link-ads.com/
http://www.bidvertiser.com/

Heaven knows there are millions, but those have worked for me.
