There are automated posting software that is available for some site, like backpage.com and others. Just do a search.
Craigslist is way more difficult since they require verified accounts for posting in most sections. There are some manual posting companies.
Good luck with it.

With classified ads, try not to post more than two or 3 ads per day. They are starting to crack down on those.
Craigslist is especially strict, and they only allow you to place biz opportunities in the smallbizads section.
There are many different ways to draw traffic, i.e. with signature links, guest posting on a high-traffic blog, advertising on a high-traffic blog (worked well for my list), article marketing, etc.
Find the type you like the most and learn how to do that one as best as you can. I like forum marketing, Twitter and video blogging.
I still test different ways that work and the methods that I like doing. If you don't like posting to classified ads, don't do it. If your prefer paid advertising, nothing wrong with that. Learn how to do it smarter like in advertising in ezines or high-traffic blog sites.
Find the one(s) that suits your style and pursue it consistently.

Classified sites are best suited for list building. You need an attractive title to grab people's attention so that they click on the ad to read more. Offer free stuff and emphasize benefits.

I find that Classified Ads are time consuming, but well worth the effort.
I do get a lot of traffic from Classified Ads.

Falcao I have used classifieds alot, and what i have found is that most people searching through classifieds are not really the type of traffic you will be looking for, of course i am not sure of your niche, but make sure it is your niche that classified users are searching. In most cases it is better to do article and video marketing to target your niche. Take Care.

I like using usfreeads.com since for $7/month you can post unlimited ads. I have noticed a large increase in site visits since using them. The only problem is most of the visitors are from foreign countries and may not undestand the ads.

Classified if posted consistently can yield some traffic. I find that posting internet forums are much more viable for quality traffic and since your forum posting is "permanent" you have the potential to get traffic indefinitely.
So I would not limited myself to simple classified ad posting. When it comes to free advertising, you definitely want to engage in the type of advertising that has lasting value and classified ads are not it since they expire.

i agree that classified ads are very powerful in its worth the time for it
look at it like pay per click
its a pooling type strategy only people who are seeking something to buy or to join are looking in thees sites, also the marketers which you can also target
