When signing up for commission Junction it requires a web site name and URL, can you put down a free blog site (blogger, Wordpress.com etc. etc.)? What about squidoo?

Thanks everyone!

I'm not sure what you can put down on there. I have my own free website. Never paid a penny and I was accepted. I would imagine that you could use a blog or squidoo. Sounds reasonable to me

Yes, you can use any of those websites. Some of the programs will accept you automatically and others will either approve you or reject you... I still have not figured out how to get approved once you have been rejected.... so if you figure that out in the future, please let me know!

Hi Hotwheelz (MM5 below),

As Sam and MM5 have stated, the answer is yes (that includes Squidoo).

However, it's not just a matter of getting accepted into CJ. You have to get approval from each individual advertiser. Some will allow you to advertise on sites such as Squidoo and some will not. You'll have to experiment.

MM5: If you get rejected by a specific advertiser you simply have to wait something like six weeks. I'm too tired to look it up right now because I am about to go to bed.

You have two options when this happens. Significantly improve your website (paid hosting) or create a new website. After the six weeks (or whatever it is) is up, apply again with either option. I think that you are allowed to do this indefinitely.

Good luck!
