I am wondering if those of you who have done paid advertising on Facebook would mind sharing your experiences. Where were you driving traffic to, how long was your campaign, what did you spend, etc.?

Thanks!

I ran a campaign for a couple of weeks with a budget of $5.00 a day. I received about 50 clicks a day and ended up with one signup. IMO PPC campaigns aren't very cost effective. You'll end up with traffic but conversions tend to be poor.

Are you saying starting a group in facebook will help the conversion rather than the paid advertising?

I recently joined up with Twitter and then I heard of Facebook and I am advertising on Facebook like I do on Twitter. Haven't had any conversions yet but I haven't been doing it for long.

I figured it was another window for opportunity, you never know until you try it. The worse case scenerio is you get more exposure. That is worth it for me.

I would think that unless you have a huge amount of conversation traffic on your facebook account it wouldn't be very effective. Am I missing something? Isn't it true that the only people who can see your facebook page are friends? I don't spend a lot of time on facebook as you can tell.

No one notices the advertisements on facebook. I found that the are pretty useless and don't convert very well.

I have not done any paid adverts in Facebook but I can say that most of the users are casual goers. So if you are having some fun, entertainment website this may be a hot for you.
