Good post and to add to your rant...
The FDA has a long way to go in regards to effectiveness.
It's just another corrupt political power in my book.
If food labels should ever become transparent and honest, I'll take another look at the FDA as a helpful power.
Until then, they are clearly nothing more than a corporate puppet and they disgust me.
What can be done? Write to your congress person, state reps, consumer protection agencies, and to any relevant power. The more educated and detailed your complaint, the better.
Complain directly to the FDA.
Another thing that can be done is to write a bill that may become a law or to create an amendment for an existing law.
