Remember the movie half baked? Surprisingly, the endeavors of these 4 stoners can teach us a little about business haha.

In an effort to raise money to get their friend out of jail, the slackers begin selling medical marijuana which they embezzle from the hospital. Their strategy is pretty clever: pass out free packets of pot with their catchy 'Mr. Nice Guy' business cards. Sure enough, the calls come pouring in.

You can use this same effective technique to market your internet services. By attracting readers with a decent amount of 'potent' information in the form of a free eBook or something similar, you can gain an interested following of potential customers.

By giving away services upfront you establish positive feelings and trust that make sales much more probable. If possible, give away quality content frequently in a blog; just make sure you can update consistently without putting out 'bunk' information.

Hi Lars,

Great observation!

Goes to show that even when your marketing antennae is "at rest"
you can still "pick up signals" from the everyday activities of life.
