Hi: I have a general question. I am trying to apply for a Customer Service position with a Virtual Assistant company, and they do a credit and background check. I filed bankruptcy 3 years ago because of a divorce, will that hurt my chances of getting the job. I wanted to know before I go through the process. Thanks

It might or might not - I guess you'll find out shortly. I hope you either get the job or are able to find something else that works for you!

Usually if you have been declared bankrupt I believe it affects you for up to 6 years.
