I ask because when you try to join with the link they give you a message pops up saying that the link has been closed due to complaints of spam. Therefore the owner requesta that you upgrade to pro? sounds alittle scammy to me unless someone knows different?

Hop url is a url cloaking, url shortening service. They are same as more popular bit.ly Bot provide statistics. Hop url has pro version which they charge. If they are forcing you to upgrade, I think they're scammy. Check out bit.ly.

Yeah, bit.ly does a better job of tracking than hop url. I think what hop url was doing was they had a bar at the top of the screen that would rotate your affiliate link.
