Hi cath2008, welcome to the board!

I do medical transcription, so I can't help with ebay, but I'm sure others can.

Welcome to the forum Cath,

If you want to own your own business over the long haul, you'd be better off building your own site for it. That way you own your own traffic, etc.

It's not as hard as you think as far the technical side of it if you start out with the right site building system. It is hard as far as putting in the time and effort. You have to be committed to it and persevere with a bit of patience. If you can do that, you can succeed.

If you chose to, you could sell on ebay, as well. That could be one of your monetization methods. There's an awful lot of make-up being sold on ebay, so there is a lot of competition. That is something to consider, too.

I do wish you success, and hope this forum will help you out.

Blessings,
Angie

Hmm........could you elaborate on that a bit? I've never personally had a problem with Paypal.

Welcome kath2008,

I do Ebay on the side and have sold a lot of odds and ends on there.

If you are trying to get familiar with it, start by listing small stuff around the house - your junk may be another person's treasures!

Books, clothes, shoes, knick knacks - as you probably know, you can buy almost anything off Ebay, which means someone is also 'selling' it!

That way you can start the bid at .99 and if it's not a hit, you will not be out the money but you will be able to build feedback and get familiar with shipping procedues,etc...

I would be careful with dropshipping as that is a good way to get some neg feedback - it's hard to compete with dropshipping and you can't control whether or not the products are in stock or not...

Just a few tips that I'll pass on

Good luck!
Viola
