I would like to know what precautions home business owners take to prevent their websites from being hacked and emails intercepted by malicious individuals. This is in addition to standard firewalls and antivirus .

One thing to do is try not to use the same password for every website. If someone has the password for one of your websites, they have the password to all of them, so be careful. The same thing applies for anything you do online - make sure your password for PayPal or other online payment processors is TOTALLY UNIQUE from other passwords you use online, because you will be in BIG TROUBLE if one of them is compromised.
