Started in affiliate marketing in October 2004 and about 3 months later I was making a F/T living.

I have two online businesses,GDI and My Power Mall.
GDI got me up and running fairly quickly. The income helps pay some of the bills and will do more as it builds even further.
My Power Mall?Well I have been with them 5 weeks with 36 on my team as of now.
A lot of elements of that business attracted me and though a longterm investment in terms of time,it will pan out very well.
I had a gut instinct with it right away.
My gut has never let me down yet btw
GDI :I like the whole business package,a product that is especially useful and will only be more indemand, the biz opp side thrown into the mix at a price that will appeal to the masses.
And the added bonus of my domain, website and ability to promote all my business ventures from one spot.
I know,we haer all the time about multiple income streams, but as they say, don't put all your eggs into one basket!
Newbie Shield,I LOVE reading your posts~makes for fantastic reading.

I think we all should start some home base businesses while we continue doing full time jobs ( I mean out of home jobs) until the home base businesses can replace the full time job incomes. Now for those who don't have outside-home jobs, it is snother story.

My point is if you are looking to a lot of residual income down the road without much effort and you don't mind spending time initially creating your down line and building your team while not earning much initially, mypowermall business has a lot of potential. Who does not like shopping? Especially while getting paid for shopping and even better while other people shop, you get paid too.

It's certainly good advice if you have a job to build your online business while still working, because any business on the net is not going to earn you decent money overnight. I'd be interested to hear about those using and promoting 'my power mall' are you earning from it? I have read a pretty scathing review here: [Link removed - Admin]

I read the review and I don't agree with everything in it. She commented that MyPoints.com is a better program, with no annoying emails and that is soooooo NOT TRUE!! I also signed up for MyPoints and I get DAILY emails from them....very annoying!! I got a few emails from MPM initially, but they have pretty much left me alone since then.
MPM is a great program for people that already shop online. If you are not used to buying online, then it is not for you. My best friend is a Target-a-holic, but she has to physically go to the store. Even though you can pay the same Target prices through MPM, she hates to shop online. So, she'll never had a PowerMall. I love to shop online because I'm alwasy tied to my computer anyway. You do hae to be careful of shipping charges, but some stores offer free shipping over a certain dollar amount.
As far as profits from it, you'll have to ask someone else. I have not advertised it at all, other than a few emails to friends, so I'm not seeing the growth that other people are.

Overall, I think it is a legitimate and even a great product. So the rebate commissions are lower than you can get if you were an affiliate for each store individually, but who wants to sign up for all those individual stores? I would rather have one stop shopping and still earn rebates on my purchases. I don't mind my upline getting a piece becasue it's FREE MONEY anyway!

A solid product and a duplicatable system can reduce your learning curve immensely. A mentor who is willing to spend time with you is huge, as well.

Combine that with your drive and "I will not quit no matter what" mindset and you'll make it big.

Hi,

I'm new here. I really appreciate for all the informative inputs here that can guide newbies like me to succeed online.

I have started online marketing almost a year now, but I have yet making any good money online that can replace my full-time employment.

I have spent more than $5000 USD to learn all the online marketing stuff, and yet to recoup my investment. I have even attended a 3-month internet marketing coaching program that promise to make at least $5000 USD within the 3 months coaching. But sadly to say, I have yet to generate any single cent from the website created in this coaching program.

I really need some helps and guidance here to show me the correct path and direction to follow. I have no idea why is it not working for me.

But, I'm very pretty sure that Internet marketing does work, maybe I'm just lost somewhere, need someone to guide me back to the right track.

To Everyone Success!

I agree with all of the posts. The thing is, you look at how long you've been working a 9-5 job and then how long it takes you to make more than that by working at home. Even if you have to work 30 hours a week from home, you can usually make quite a bit more money than you JOB. So the trade off is much better. Working from your home you have the freedom to do the things you want to do with out asking a BOSS if you can do them. For me, I've only been doing this a couple weeks but have been looking for 6-8 months and am starting to finally get what working from home is all about. You just have to find the 1 thing that you believe in and have the support behind you to achieve financial success. I think if you have the support and tools there's no way to fail.

I am really interested in people who earn good money online. I just want to know if it took them years, months or weeks ? I know i'm going to get a lot of replies saying they did it in day's but i do not and will not believe those stories !!

It actually depends on how much we're willing to put in, either in terms of money or in terms of time. Personally, I prefer investing money rather than time, so I usually get quicker results.

4 years part time for me and now 1 1/2 years full time. It is a lot of work, but worth it.

Agree with the above...

It's a lot of hard work, but it does eventually pay off.

Survival of the fitest I guess.

Just read through all the posts on this thread.. I noticed I had contributed to it in October..

Update to my last post.. although I am not as yet making enough to give up my 'proper' job.. I wish!

I have started to see results.. mainly through Direct matches I have to say.. Ive also seen some positive results from a few other website/blogs I have set up.. mainly they deal with my other passion... miniature dachshunds..

So I have to say I'm in this for the long run..

Bought Holly Manns book in September this year.. slowly putting strategies into place..seeing what works..and what doesnt But.. as Newbie Shield has said.. you have to learn you craft.. put in the time and ask questions and learn.. I never believed this would be a get rich quick..but always thought it could be lucrative..given time and effort..

Wow! I can't believe I've been in this forum for over a month and only came across this thread now! It was most entertaining and informative (Thank You Again Newbie Shield!).

I am happy to report that I have been unwittingly and unknowingly following the advice given in this thread during the past five weeks or so, (largely due to picking bits and pieces of info from other posts and my own dogged research), and have now set in motion a solid business plan. I never had any expectations of overnight riches, but I can say that my goals are being met much quicker than I expected.

The key is Research-Learn-Research-Learn Some More!! And never stop learning. Don't be afraid to change and adapt. Be patient with yourself, but don't lose sight of who you really are. Don't set extraordinary goals - you'll only be setting yourself up for disappointment & disaster. Baby steps, you can only eat an elephant one bite at a time, etc.

Read, Listen, Observe!

Kalien

It depends on the self ability of each person. Some may take one week and some may not even succed even if they strive hard in their life time.

You have certainly found yourself in the right place to begin your research. Look around in the other forum categories to see what others are saying. There is a tremendous amount of invaluable advice contained within these "walls". Check out the signature links of other members. And don't be afraid to ask questions.

(BTW - if you put "url" tags around the links in your signature, others can easily link to your sites. If you go back into your profile you can edit your signature. It will even explain how.)

Good Luck to You! (Or should I say "Break a Leg?")

Kalien

Your individual initiative and determination will decide your success. If you want it in days or weeks, it is certainly doable. The more passive you are, the longer it will take to see the desired results.
